[Shiroko Sunaookami Cosplay] Blue Archive Gymnastics Uniform Studio Photoshoot Record

This shoot took place in a studio with a pure white background, with a thick white plush blanket spread across the floor and overall lighting kept very bright and clear. To faithfully recreate Shiroko Sunaookami's features, I put a lot of effort into the hair, makeup, and costume. The wig was trimmed into a silver-gray short bob with blunt bangs, secured with a pair of fluffy black animal ears on top, a bright cyan cross hairpin on the left, and a meticulously rigged floating cyan halo prop above the head. I chose bright blue contact lenses and paired them with a cool-toned base and eye makeup to make my overall gaze closely match the character's cool and detached aura.

For the outfit, the upper body features a white short-sleeved turtleneck bodysuit, paired with black shorts featuring cyan splicing on the edges. The most complex part of this gymnastics uniform is the arm sleeves: the long white sleeves have black stripes and cyan accents on the edges, printed with silver geometric patterns and text motifs. The sleeves extend all the way to the back of the hand in a half-finger glove design, with the thumb portion in bright cyan. The lower body is styled with white translucent over-the-knee stockings, which beautifully showcase the leg lines against the white plush blanket.

During the shoot, the photographer and I constantly adjusted the poses. Because this outfit is quite form-fitting and restricts large movements, we focused more on micro-adjustments of the limbs. For the first set of photos, I tried bending one knee, gently touching my collarbone with one hand and resting the other on my leg; this pose excellently highlights the sleeve details and the upper body silhouette. For the second set, I switched to a sitting pose with crossed legs, placing my hands on my chest and leg respectively, leaning my center of gravity backward to better showcase the proportions of the stockings and the overall styling from a wider angle.

The lighting in the studio was very even without complex shadows, which ironically placed a higher demand on body language and eye expression. I continuously tried to control my facial expressions, looking directly into the lens to maintain the character's calmness without losing a natural feel. The floating halo above my head looked especially striking against the pure white background, and the contrast between cyan and silver-gray enriched the visual colors. Throughout the process, the photographer @Alarak guided the details, such as finger placement and minor tweaks to leg angles, striving to bring out the best possible state in every photo.

Actually, before cosplaying this character, I specifically reviewed the original source material. The gymnastics uniform version feels more athletic than her regular school uniform but retains her inherent sharpness. The silver-gray short hair combined with animal ears is highly recognizable visually. Although the arm sleeves look very sci-fi, they take a bit of time to get used to when wearing and moving around, especially the half-finger design, which somewhat restricts hand gestures. However, this perfectly forces the poses to align closer with the character's design.

The texture of the white plush blanket was very soft, creating a visual contrast with the structured clothing. During the shoot, I tried my best to relax and find the most natural posture sitting on the blanket. Although the studio temperature was comfortable, the wrapping sensation of the long sleeves and stockings still felt very substantial. I am extremely satisfied with the final photos; the colors are clean, the details are crisp, and the features of the silver hair, animal ears, cyan accents, and white gymnastics uniform were all completely and beautifully captured.
