Bringing this dark-toned look from Zenless Zone Zero to life took roughly half a month from preparation to final delivery. In tune with the creator incentive program—and driven by a genuine passion for the designs of Remielle, Lieutenant Colonel Dan, and Ramiel—we dedicated substantial effort to the tailoring and props. The ensemble combines black leather with sheer mesh paneling, heavily accented on the upper half with metallic zippers, strapping, and O-ring hardware. The crisp white stand-up collar and bat-wing pendant across the chest create a striking monochrome contrast against the somber palette. The skirt hem features white five-pointed star motifs, coordinated with lace-trimmed black Stockings (thigh-highs) and metallic-buckled high heels. Weighted black feathered wings were strapped to my back, while the layered, cropped pink bob wig was paired with a crimson bow hairpiece and pointed elf ear prosthetics.
For the makeup, to channel an unearthly, aloof demeanor, I wore grayish-purple contact lenses, contoured deep eye sockets, and dusted shattered glitter flakes across the outer corners of my eyes and forehead, finishing with a lustrous deep-red lip. To match the lethal persona skilled with a dagger, the prop team prepped a silver-bladed, black-hilted prop dagger. The set design exuded a gritty industrial ambiance, with crisscrossing metal scaffolding, hefty black cables, vertical red neon tubes, and crisp, cool-white spotlights.
Shooting the third full-body frame was physically grueling. To showcase the sweep of the skirt, the texture of the Stockings, and the elongating lines of the high heels, I had to balance on the intricate metal framework in a dynamic mid-stride posture. While the legs look effortlessly straight on camera, keeping my balance on the narrow metal beam required continuous core stabilization, all while my stiletto heels constantly threatened to catch in the grating. For the close-up shot holding the dagger in Image 1, projecting the blade's menace meant holding my arm suspended in mid-air with an unblinking gaze locked onto the lens. Throughout the take, the lighting tech constantly fine-tuned the angle of the red ambient glow to prevent blown-out reflections on the leather while sculpting clean, dimensional facial planes.
While the outfit had some stretch, movement was still restricted—particularly by the flared sleeves and the wings on my back, which caught on nearby cables whenever I turned. Between takes, we had to continuously smooth out the leather, touch up makeup, and detangle the wig. Because the set was predominantly dark, the camera was stopped down to keep the depth of field tight yet sharp enough for the background metalwork and practical lights to anchor the environmental mood. Overall, rigorous preparation in lighting and posture paid off: the bold red-and-black contrast amplified the dramatic visual tension, successfully bringing out the distinct textural allure of this dark gothic aesthetic.
