A tremendous amount of thought went into selecting fabrics for this pink uniform coordinate of Li Tianxi. The original blazer design carries some heft, but due to high temperatures on shooting day, I deliberately chose a lighter suiting fabric with a fluid drape—keeping the shoulder silhouette crisp without feeling stifling in the sunlight. The oversized pink ribbon bow at the neckline is the true soul of the outfit; to ensure it stayed plump without sagging, I lined the interior with two layers of stiff interfacing. The bottoms feature a classic pleated skirt, whose pleats were pressed firmly with a hair straightener beforehand to maintain sharp folds at every moment during shooting.
The wig was one of the most labor-intensive aspects of this look. The pink Twintails needed an organic, bouncy fluffiness rather than lying flat against the scalp, while the frontal bangs were trimmed into soft, wispy layers, finished on both sides with white plush scrunchies. Makeup centered on the eyes: pink contact lenses paired with soft pink-toned eyeshadow blending to channel the character's sweet charm.
The transparent inflatable balloon I held served as a vital prop throughout the shoot. Its featherlight build allowed me to flow through various poses effortlessly. Holding it before the window, sunlight filtering through the spherical balloon cast a lovely, luminous glow. The location was a semi-open space with a window frame that I stumbled upon by chance, lined along the sides and bottom with plastic water bottles filled with blue and yellow liquids. This raw, lived-in everyday setting created a delightful visual contrast with the refined pink uniform. My photographer friend was an incredible help; we tested diverse angles, with the final selects largely utilizing side-backlighting. Sunlight bouncing off the grass behind sculpted a crisp rim light along my silhouette, with a reflector angled in front to prevent harsh facial shadows.
To mirror the character's lively temperament, I choreographed breezy, playful poses—such as framing my cheeks with both hands or lightly balancing on tiptoes. Throughout the shoot, I kept channeling that sense of girlish spunk in my mind. The pink blazer paired with a white thigh garter and pink lace-up heeled boots demanded constant adjustments during movement. To capture natural expressions, I refrained from staring directly at the lens, instead imagining myself slipping away on a destination-free afternoon escape.
Bringing this set to life was made possible thanks to the seamless teamwork of everyone involved. From makeup tests to location scouting, we collaborated closely at every step. I chose this coordinate because beyond its undeniable cuteness, the sharp lines of the uniform design impart an energetic, spirited presence. Standing before the lens in full styling, my goal was always to highlight the garment's nuances clearly. Whether it was the flare of the pleated skirt, the crisp texture of the ribbon, or the interplay of light across the thigh garter and Stockings in motion, this set represents an earnest, grounded tribute to the work.
