Receiving this award from the Arknights creator campaign is a tremendous recognition of my recent character production and preparation efforts centered around Pozëmka "Beside the passing dream".
Before bringing the look to life, I referenced the original splash art style of this skin. To express the blue-and-white keynote, I specifically selected sheer tulle and satin fabrics with a subtle sheen, allowing them to emit a soft, non-reflective texture under indoor lighting. The overall cut of the Cosplay outfit is quite unique: a wide water-sleeve outerwear paired with a waist-baring inner top, maintaining a graceful, flowy effect while highlighting the character's crisp demeanor. To enhance detail, gold embroidery and square gold decorative patterns were hand-positioned and sewn, complemented by white lace at the collar, a pearl necklace, and that signature gold cross brooch, giving the upper body rich visual layering.
Hair color and ear accessories were equally crucial. The long pink curly wig required trimming airy bangs and sideburns to properly frame my face. The fluffy fox ears were custom-made—larger and fluffier than common animal ears—requiring precise placement angles to look natural. The transparent butterfly hair ornament and pearl gold-leaf hairpin on my head were small details polished step-by-step according to the character concept art. For makeup, I opted for eye makeup that contrasted sharply with the pink hair, using darker lashes and eyeliner to emphasize the eyes' look, paired with nude-pink lipstick to tone down heavy makeup, bringing my expression closer to the character's aloof coolness.
Then there's that eye-catching purple orb long staff prop. It's quite a heavy prop, especially the top purple sphere; to restore its smooth reflection, I sanded an acrylic sphere, painted the interior, and paired it with a carved metal-textured bracket and a black shaft at the base. During actual shooting, because it was long and heavy, I had to constantly monitor its center of gravity—a moment of carelessness could make it look top-heavy in photos. To seamlessly blend the staff with the outfit styling, I practiced various single-handed and double-handed holding angles repeatedly.
Although the preparation was tedious, it was a deeply fulfilling experience. I've always followed various official fan creation campaigns, so having my effort recognized—and winning 1,500 RMB cash along with an official character acrylic standee—felt truly worth recording. While there are numerous cosplay clothing options available on the market, ensuring high fidelity for a specific outfit often still requires perfecting accessories and tweaking wigs oneself.
For this photo set, I chose raw indoor selfie shots. Although the background shows crafting tools and clutter, it offers the most authentic record of how the clothing looks and fits on the body. Moving forward, based on this baseline, I will continuously optimize overall slimming silhouette and skirt drape, striving to capture even more satisfying renditions of Pozëmka "Beside the passing dream" in well-lit indoor studios or outdoor locations.
Focus on every detail—that's how I keep my passion for cosplay alive.
