[Shu cosplay] Arknights: Boundary Garden style Post-processing collage & Visual effects Sharing

When conceptualizing the makeup and photoshoot for this Shu cosplay, the core creative direction centered around the poetic imagery of a solitary ghost lantern revealing a peach-blossom radiant face. Pairing the white wig with the beast horns on top required careful angle adjustments during shooting to look cohesive and natural. The fabric of the white costume was relatively thick and structured, and the lotus prop in hand needed to be firmly secured at the center of the palm.

The post-processing concept was the true centerpiece: since the Boundary Garden style leans cool and austere, I layered extensive glitch Visual effects and Post-processing collage elements over the foundation edits. The face retained a clean, translucent makeup texture, while the body contours were surrounded by pink eye motifs and contrasting red-and-green color blocks. Throughout the collage process, I fine-tuned opacity levels numerous times to ensure the real facial features remained crisp and distinct without being swallowed by the effects. The pixelation treatment and horizontal scanline displacement along the edges were designed to evoke a digital glitch space, which, paired with the peach-blossom line, created an intense atmospheric depth.

The editing workload this time was massive, requiring constant adjustments to layer hierarchy and blending modes. The intricate fabric textures and the chromatic ripples across the hair were also mapped via post-processing overlays; though the collage process was meticulous and demanding, the sense of accomplishment was immense. I repeatedly calibrated the brightness of the eye patterns to ensure they wouldn't steal focus from the face as the primary subject. Additionally, extensive chromatic dispersion was applied to give the figure a subtle ethereal blur, harmonizing with the intricate environment of the Boundary Garden style. Using high-saturation fluorescent green and magenta as background noise further accentuated the texture of the monochrome white costume, resulting in a remarkably cohesive visual presentation—documenting the entire Post-processing collage journey here.
