This time I am bringing Shu from Arknights, and the design of this Ephemeral Azure Thunder skin really speaks to me. The most time-consuming part of the costume was the geometric patchwork on the chest and those golden knot decorations. To recreate that exquisite woven feel, it took a full two days just to process those small metal and fabric accessories. The wig features a white, yellow, and blue three-color gradient, and the dragon horn styling on top was reinforced, so there was no need to worry about it shaking during the shoot. For the makeup, I intentionally toned down the intensity of the eyeshadow, using a warm orange-brown palette to complement the autumn vibe of the wheat field, making the overall look softer and more divine.

The scenery for this wheat field location shoot was chosen in a mature field, and the black background curtain was composited in post-production. This isolates the character from the cluttered field environment, highlighting the white main tone of the costume and the golden embellishments. In the second picture, I am holding a large bundle of wheat ears; that grounded feeling is exactly what the character Shu brings to people—farming, harvest, and protection. As for the props, the long sword made of transparent material has excellent light transmittance under backlighting, which, paired with the pearl bracelet on the wrist, adds a touch of celestial aura.

What I am most satisfied with in this shoot is the use of light and shadow. As the side overhead light shines down, the hair strands and clothing folds appear highly three-dimensional, and the awns of the wheat ears are also illuminated. To present the theme of 'favorable weather,' I tried my best to choose relaxed and peaceful movements in my postures, avoiding overly exaggerated tension. A location shoot actually puts patience to the test. Although the wind blowing through the wheat waves creates a beautiful mood, it also messes up the hair and hemline, requiring constant angle adjustments. Overall, being able to bring this character from the drawing board into reality brings a great sense of achievement. I hope this serenity from the wheat field can also be conveyed to friends who see this set of photos through this piece of cosplay photography.
