This Sparkle cosplay outfit was finally put together in full over the weekend. Between shooting breaks, I snapped these two photos on my phone as a progress log during equipment tuning.

In Honkai: Star Rail, Sparkle's red, white, and black color scheme carries strong visual impact. For this attempt, the wig featured a light silver-grey base, complete with layered straight bangs and a braid along one side. The headpiece serves as a key accent: large white bunny ears set on a black mini top hat base, capturing her playful yet mysterious vibe perfectly. Eye makeup was a main focus this time; I selected pink-purple contact lenses to match her eye color, accented with red smudging under the eyes and along the cheekbones, which pairs with structured lashes to bring out a livelier look on camera.

The costume itself holds plenty of subtle details. The black collar trimmed with white edging and a central metallic buckle adds a retro, slightly magical touch. The black bow tie around the neck pairs seamlessly with the choker without leaving the neck feeling bare. Puff sleeves with gathered cuffs combine with white 3D geometric armor plates on the shoulders to prevent the silhouette from looking flat. These shoulder plates feature subtle black markings on their inner edges, adding extra depth and dimension to the outfit.

The red staff prop held in the second photo features a matte surface with a iridescent reflective finish at the top, accented by golden trim and a black-and-white ribbon. It carries a comfortable weight, allowing me to adjust my arm angle during selfie shots for a more natural composition. I personally favor the mood in the second photo—direct eye contact with the camera conveys her character traits far better than a side glance. From makeup to costume elements, I repeatedly evaluated whether every step matched the original game's baseline, paying special attention to color saturation so the red, black, and white proportions wouldn't look cluttered.

During the process, I was also exploring how to portray her character effectively. Since Sparkle is unpredictable and quick-witted, I tried smirking slightly toward the lens to simulate that ready-to-prank state. The moment the shutter clicked, resting a finger on my chin or gripping the prop brought completely different visual vibes. Though these two shots are just casual indoor selfies, they serve as a great initial record of this look.

If time permits later, I plan to find an indoor set tailored to the game's world for a proper shoot, or experiment with lighting angles to highlight the fabric's texture. Currently, details around the neck and cuffs still have room for improvement—such as making the white lace stitching neater—which I'll refine before the next outing. At its heart, Cosplay sharing is about bringing beloved characters to life, which brings me immense satisfaction. Turning an idea into reality step by step makes every challenge a valuable part of the journey. That's all for today's fitting share!
