[THE FLOWER cosplay] Cardcaptor Sakura Spring Blooming Record

For this THE FLOWER cosplay themed photo shoot taken at Olympic Forest Park North Garden, detailed planning went into everything from costume selection to hair and makeup design. The anti-gravity wig offered strong styling hold, keeping its curls intact outdoors for a long time. Doing my own hair and makeup, I used green contact lenses and a red floral forehead mark, elements chosen to embody that dreamy yet personified aura of The Flower in Cardcaptor Sakura. The outfit chosen was the Sakura Tea qipao design from BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT; the lace patchwork on the upper body paired with the pink-and-white skirt created rich visual layers, and the translucency of the lace trim under backlight was absolutely ideal.

The shooting location was accessed through the West Gate of Olympic Forest Park North Garden, near the "Loulan Girl" sculpture. On that day, the apricot blossoms were already yellowing; compared to the snow-white hue of full bloom, this warm, faded pink added a vintage aesthetic to the frame. The earthen slope and low-hanging branches were well suited for low-angle framing. Thanks to 32F Xiaoxiao Photography and Suipai Xiaosong for their guidance on set; using Canon gear for this shoot controlled the backlight superbly, faithfully capturing the delicate pink of the dress without overexposing the background.

Carrying a white lace parasol and a sheer gauze shawl during the shoot helped balance the overall composition. Because the lighting contrast was strong, opening the parasol distributed light evenly across my face. In the latter half of the shoot, to accentuate the leg lines and skirt layering, I switched to pink lace-up high heels; standing on the earthen slope required not only balancing my center of gravity but also constantly making sure the hem stayed clear of fallen leaves. This bittersweet experience is practically second nature for girls who love Lolita photography during a Spring outing. Although the process was meticulous—requiring frequent checks on details like glove placement and securing floral hairpieces—seeing the light stream through the parasol in the viewfinder made all the preparation worthwhile. Overall, this set aims to capture the essence of spring, highlighting the vital role of polished styling and great teamwork.
