On D2 and D3 of the New Year Firefly ACG Expo, I cosplayed three different outfits for Sakura, Lumine (Ying), and Belle (Ling). Sakura on D2 was the classic magical girl look, featuring a pink tutu dress, a large red bowknot, and her iconic wand; putting it on instantly gave me the vibe of a Clow Card collector. On the morning of D3, I changed into Genshin Impact Lumine's white traveler outfit, trying my best to restore the blonde wig and pattern details, and the blonde hair looked very photogenic in the sunlight. In the afternoon, I switched to Zenless Zone Zero Belle's deep blue short hair and street-style jacket. The styles across the three sets had a huge span, and each costume change felt like switching to another world. The convention lighting was highly variable, so to capture the fabric textures and character expressions, I specially adjusted my standing postures and angles—such as Sakura tilting her head up while waving the wand, Lumine turning sideways to look at the camera, and Belle doing a casual peace sign. Though doing three days of outfits and makeup was exhausting, every time passersby called out the characters' names, I felt all the preparation was totally worth it. I am used to researching the original clothing cuts and hair flows in advance, spending a lot of thought on wig trimming and accessory placement, especially Sakura's hair layering and Lumine's golden bangs curvature, which were repeatedly adjusted to fit the original work. The convention atmosphere was amazing, and interacting with everyone was highly interesting; whether it was a proper photoshoot or a snapshot, every single moment felt full of story. I also met many fellow fans this time to exchange prop-making and makeup techniques, which was incredibly rewarding. Every cosplay is another interpretation of the character, and this three-day, three-outfit run perfectly let me try out the various vibes of girlish sweetness, cool detachment, and street style that I love.
