Although in this set of photos, both \"older Cyrene\" and \"younger Cyrene\" were presented by me alone, under the switching of different outfits and scenes, they indeed showed subtle differences in texture. Shooting in a classroom is actually a very atmospheric thing; desks, globes, plaster busts, combined with soft afternoon light, are perfect for expressing the character's ethereal yet grounded, daily traits.
For this character's makeup and styling, I chose a matte, translucent texture for the base makeup, while using a large area of pinkish-orange and peach gradients for eyeshadow to reduce sharp lines. Paired with a pink short Anime girl wig, it creates a visual effect as if equipped with a soft-focus filter. Headpiece details are crucial; whether cat ears or elf ears elements, they need a seamless transition with the wig roots to avoid harsh shadows when illuminated by overhead light during Cosplay photography.
Although both outfits are for the same character, their temperaments are completely different. The first dress, intertwining white and light purple tulle, is exceptionally flowing. Rich cutout details and bow accents on the upper body make the overall look elegant and gentle. Sitting at the desk holding a bouquet of pink roses while the skirt naturally spreads out, paired with white tights and high heels, effectively highlights leg lines and overall proportion. This seated pose really tests posture, requiring a straight back and a slightly tucked chin to present a natural breathing feel on camera.
Meanwhile, the other jacket in a blue-violet dominant color scheme presents a starkly different style. Loose drop-shoulder tailoring combined with prominent gold runes and floral patterns on the cuffs brings a relaxed, casual and neutral aesthetic, while the white camisole mini-dress underneath preserves a youthful Anime girl feel. I particularly love the white lace-up high-heeled sandals in this outfit; the crossed straps trim ankle and calf contours while adding visual layering. For standing shots, I intentionally adjusted my center of gravity, pairing it with the action of presenting the bouquet to make the overall silhouette look less rigid.
As a physical shoot with myself in front of the lens, I place great emphasis on reproducing costume and prop details. In scene arrangement, I specifically utilized the structural lines of wooden desks and chairs, naturally guiding visual focus toward the subject. As a recurring prop throughout the set, the rose bouquet plays a great role in color balance. Soft and gentle against the white gown, its contrast of pink against blue-violet in the jacket set is strikingly vibrant and eye-catching.
Regarding lighting, afternoon light penetrated glass windows onto the desks, forming beautiful highlights. I intentionally leveraged this natural light without using overly harsh artificial light sources to keep facial shading transitions soft and natural, allowing the pink hair to reveal a translucent texture. Reviewing photos earlier, I realized the boundary between older Cyrene and younger Cyrene wasn't so rigid; they felt more like different sides of the same person in a specific setting: one possessing elegant composure, the other displaying approachable, spontaneous vitality.
Photography is an ongoing process of adjustment and communication; every shutter click demands precise mastery over expressions and angles. But when the final result preserves all these details and atmospheric feelings, I feel this creation has fulfilled its mission, making all the effort spent fine-tuning wigs and fine details thoroughly worth it.
