This set of photos was completed at the Shenzhen Spicy Prince launch event. As Bear Laws, I was constantly refining the details in my mind before heading out. Rather than hesitating, setting off was indeed the better choice—just like what was said in the post description, fate might truly show mercy for a moment, but as long as you stand in front of the lens, all the preparation is completely worth it.

The lighting on-site was very special. The high-ceiling structure with crisscrossing trusses at the top of the hall, combined with dense white spotlights hitting the dark, highly reflective floor, created a cold and vast texture. Actually, this kind of venue environment presents a bit of a challenge for photography because the top lighting is very strong and can easily cast unnatural shadows on the face, but the photographer specifically tried various angles to highlight the tension of this costume.

The ultra-wide-angle low-angle perspective in the picture instantly unlocked the full aura of the character. The huge gradient weapon occupies a dominant presence in the frame, which is exactly the effect we wanted. This prop was actually the most painstaking part of the preparation process—from 3D modeling to painting, it underwent several rounds of adjustments to achieve this metallic gradient texture interwoven with white, purple, silver, and pink. It is not only large in volume, but also quite heavy. Raising this prop on-site while keeping a relaxed, graceful posture was truly a physical workout.

For the costume, we chose a main color scheme combining white and purple this time. The waist-exposing strap design paired with layered irregular skirts expresses the sleek design feel of fantasy armor while retaining gentle, graceful elements. The tiara on top combines white flowers, purple flowers, and black hollow geometric structures, along with the iconic pointed Elf ears and purple-pink gradient wig, making me quite satisfied with the overall styling completeness.

Additionally, the matching white over-the-knee boots paired with diamond-spliced heels at the bottom not only elongated the visual proportions, but also made my posture look taller and more erect. To echo the atmosphere of holding a bouquet and glowing butterfly props, the photographer deliberately retained foreground bokeh in the composition, adding a touch of narrative feel to the image. Although there was significant foot traffic at the venue and the environment was crowded, I entered the character's state very quickly during the shoot—because Castorice's character setting in the game naturally carries an elegant, mysterious, and slightly cool yet gentle quality.

Honestly, every time I cosplay a character with a massive weapon, my biggest realization is: five minutes of posing, two hours of resting. This is because I constantly need to adjust the position of the weapon from different angles, making sure my hand forces look natural without bringing a sense of tension to the photo. Fortunately, the atmosphere on-site that day was wonderful, and paired with those bouquet props, the resulting photos had a tranquil, dreamlike temperament. The low-angle shots exaggerated perspective through the wide lens, making the leg lines and prop extensions feel remarkably strong, delivering a very impactful visual effect.

Being able to present such a meticulously prepared character to everyone at this launch event was in itself a very meaningful experience. Recreating a character isn't just about the clothing and props, but even more about the charm radiated from within. Being able to capture emotional moments with the help of the venue's light and shadows and the photographer's lens serves as a nice reward for all the long preparation. I hope this understanding and interpretation of the character can be accurately conveyed through these photos.
