[Lingsha cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Excellent Convention Photos at Dreamland Anime Convention

My experience with this Lingsha cosplay focused mainly on mastering this asymmetric outfit and controlling the flow of the on-site shoot. Prior to the Dreamland Anime Convention, I had done plenty of homework on faithfully recreating the costume's details. The golden metallic accents on the chest against the dark fabric, paired with an extensive off-the-shoulder white design, put the seamless transition between the wig and shoulders to the test. To keep the wig from feeling overly heavy, I specifically adjusted the placement of the crown hair clips, which, paired with red contact lenses, delivered a spirited yet slightly enigmatic gaze.

The weather during Dreamland Anime Convention was caught in a cold snap with fairly strong winds across the outdoor plaza, yet this open-air location matched the expansive scale of the event perfectly. During the shoot, the sakura round fan in my hand served as a fantastic prop for interaction; whether holding it aloft with one hand or resting it before my chest, it balanced the negative space of the upper bodice nicely. Moreover, the highlight of this styling lies in the resonance between the long gloves and white gradient stockings—a feast for any Stocking lover—where the fair skin transition to crimson fingertips catches the eye immediately. Many photographers in their Cosplay photo sharing specifically captured the gradient color blocks on my legs and the crimson blush at my ankles, which, combined with the black-and-gold heeled ankle boots, maximized the visual impact when turning or standing with crossed legs.

As an experienced convention cosplayer, I know that for event photos to stand out, accurate costumes alone aren't enough—expressive body language is equally critical. I aimed to create a lively and elegant feel through over-the-shoulder glances and holding the fan in one hand. Thanks to the asymmetric hemline and the gold and teal tassels along the sash, even subtle movements or gentle gusts of wind created a stunning flowing drape. The grey stone tiles of the venue also formed a natural light-shadow contrast against the dark hem of the costume.

On site, I bumped into several cosplayers portraying other characters from Honkai: Star Rail; greeting each other and snapping photos outside the hall made the convention atmosphere wonderfully vibrant. I was very fortunate to book experienced on-site photographers who swiftly captured the best moments of my gaze and motion, resulting in Cosplay photo sharing whose quality left me thoroughly satisfied. I also paid close attention to makeup nuances, especially refining the eye makeup to complement the red contact lenses, ensuring my face held a sharp, commanding confidence rather than looking flat.

When preparing the outfit and props, the trickiest part was definitely the detached arm sleeves on the outside of the arms. Making large arm gestures can easily cause them to slip, so I secured them with anti-slip tape beforehand. The red choker at the neck paired with a small golden bell, though an accessory detail, kept the neckline from looking bare. The irregular dark cloud-patterned fabric on the lower half also resonated with the drape of the teal tassels. This Lingsha cosplay shoot at Dreamland Anime Convention was a delightful experience; I thoroughly enjoyed bringing the character's essence to life under natural outdoor light, and I extend my sincere gratitude to all the photographers who provided wonderful photos and feedback.
