[Sparkle cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Bassist's Debut Stage Record

Sharing a set of Honkai: Star Rail Sparkle cosplay. The theme this time is Candy-Coated Waves, mainly aiming to showcase this band idol's off-stage rehearsal and preparation state. For costume, I chose a black off-the-shoulder top with a zippered neckline, revealing black-and-white patterned details underneath, where the cropped design nicely elongates the waistline. The bottom piece is a red plaid pleated skirt, tied with an alphabet-patterned belt at the waist and accented by a black-and-white fabric strap, creating rich overall layers.

The legwear utilizes an asymmetrical design: one side features semi-sheer black fishnet long stockings paired with black techwear calf sleeves and platform shoes, while the other side wears pure white mid-calf socks. This combination echoes the character setting's sweet-cool feel without letting the overall outfit look monotonous. As for hairstyle, I wore a light pale-pink gradient long wig with two small buns tied on both sides of the crown, secured with black bow hair clips. To recreate the character's visual features, a pair of pink gradient sunglasses was pushed up on top of the head, with bangs and hair accessories carefully arranged.

For makeup, I applied large-area pink blending around and under the eyes, dotted with small red spots on both cheeks, striving to stay close to the character's stage-ready makeup style. Accessories included a black choker and a brown plush bear on the shoulder—all highly recognizable details of the character.

Props were one of the main highlights of this shoot. I held a black electric bass with wooden grain textures, equipped with a lightning-patterned black strap, while black speakers, pink pedal effectors, flight cases, and a black chair were arranged by my feet. During shooting, I tried various poses. For instance, stepping on the speaker while holding the bass nicely embodied a rock musician's expressive ease. I also took shots sitting on the floor or chair taking selfies with a phone, wanting this set to convey both the tension of a formal stage performance and the relaxed ease of daily practice.

The actual weight of this outfit plus the bass wasn't light, but this realistic gear feel actually helped me get into character. The white-background studio photoshoot made the character's colors pop vividly, free from cluttering distractions, focusing visual attention entirely on the character. The shoot went very smoothly, trying various angles—especially the texture of the bass and overall outfit effect looked great in front of the lens, leaving me quite satisfied.
