For this set of official photos I received tonight, I mainly wanted to highlight the character's uniquely playful yet mysterious temperament. To fit the cosmic-themed set, I deliberately dialed back the heavy makeup, choosing a translucent, skin-fitting base while brightening around the eyes to make them look more lively and expressive. Paired with light pink contact lenses, I hoped to convey a stronger sense of visual connection through my gaze.
As for the wig, the platinum-blonde twin-tails are one of the core elements of the entire look. To maintain a breezy, airy feel when the hair strands swing, I spent quite some time before the shoot styling the direction and fluffiness of every lock. The bunny-eared top hat on top of my head and the braided details by the ears were real tests of patience during setting.
In terms of anime-style fashion design, this outfit blends red and white with a black-and-white checkerboard pattern, delivering a striking visual punch. The off-the-shoulder cut and layered white hem maintain her playful vibe while allowing for large-range body movements. My favorite feature is the tassel design draping from both sleeves; every time I swing my arms or wave props, the lines drawn by the tassels in the air add dynamic motion to the photos. The little white rabbit ornament at the waist is also very playful, nicely softening the loud impression of the large red areas.
The long staff prop used in the shoot features a fun red thumbs-up hand shape at the top. To showcase this prop, the photographer and I worked with various framing compositions. One pose standing on one leg was designed specifically to create a visual balance and response between the thumbs-up gesture and the raised leg—a balance-demanding pose that truly tested my core strength.
The tech-inspired cosmic wall backdrop, paired with the classic red-and-black diamond-patterned leather couch, offered rich contrasts of warm and cool, light and dark. For lighting design, the photographer added cool blue rim lights from the side, which not only outlined the edges of the white hair strands but also pulled the deep cosmic backdrop into extreme focus, making the character pop out from the background instantly.
Alongside standing poses and dynamic snapshots, I also tried sitting shots on the sofa. Though sitting looks more relaxed, conveying her effortless casualness required precise control over body angles and shoulder posture—whether resting a hand on my knee or gently touching the hat brim. Although the outfit appears lightweight, the wide bell sleeves and headpiece carry noticeable weight; keeping my hand lines elegant without looking stiff while lifting the hat became a key focus when adjusting those seated shots.
The decorative cloth prop with tassels worked wonders for static standing shots. Using its wide lace trim and red tassels as a foreground or extension helped cover areas with too much empty space while adding rich layers to the image. Soft lights shining on it brought out the texture of the greyish-black base with red-and-black diamonds effortlessly.
The entire cosplay photography process was genuinely joyful because the character setting itself carries that witty, mischievous tone, so there was no need to stay rigidly poised. Instead, natural moments of tilting my head, resting hands on my hips, or gently swaying the staff yielded unexpectedly high success rates. The photography team had fantastic chemistry, capturing the snapshot rhythms perfectly.
Finally, huge thanks again to the photographer for patiently adjusting my positions and lighting angles. This shooting experience gave me a much deeper understanding of the character. I hope this visual presentation with cosmic sci-fi elements fully conveys her unique sense of Elation to everyone. This outfit truly has many subtle details worth exploring, and looking at the raw shots after the shoot, I'm already super satisfied.
