The theme of this shoot selected a large number of playing cards, circus banners, and colorful balloon elements, attempting to restore the character's traits of being adept at disguise and guiding illusions. In terms of costume, I chose a red, white, and black color-clashing performance outfit with sharp overall tailoring. The off-the-shoulder design, paired with the white ruffled neckline and sleeves, strengthens the visual focus. The black choker features a yellow four-leaf clover-shaped metal decoration, echoing that iconic black-and-white diamond-patterned belt at the waist.
In the hair and makeup section, the white rabbit ears of the headpiece match a black base and golden chains, adding a touch of playfulness. To fit the character's agility, I wore pink colored contact lenses, selected high-saturation colors for the eye makeup, and embellished a signature heart-shaped decoration along with sparkling fine rhinestones right above the cheekbones, concentrating the overall visual focus on the face. Under the lighting, the long white hair presents a subtle pink ambient color, reinforcing the dreamy feel of the entire photograph.
Regarding the pairing of props, the handheld blue-and-grey color scheme pistol carries a certain sense of futurism and toy-likeness, forming a wonderful visual illusion with the spades and clubs playing cards floating in the background. To express that ease and mastery during the shoot, I experimented with multiple body movements, such as utilizing hand foreground blockage in picture one to construct a sense of space, and the interactive feel of a close-up lens in picture two. The colorful lights in the background form a strong contrast with the dark-toned environment, highlighting the overall circus-style joy and a touch of mysterious temperament.
In terms of photography cooperation, the composition and light and shadow used this time are actually highly sophisticated, with the colorful banners and star ornaments pouring down behind creating a strong sense of depth. This cosplay is not only the creation of a costume and makeup, but a re-interpretation of this character's personality filled with trickery and joyful elements, perfect for our Anime-style photography goals. Looking at the unedited photos after the shoot finished, I could both feel the dedication in building the scene and satisfy my own expectations for a work of this style. I hope this graphic record can convey the fun of the shoot at that time, as well as the character's own unique charm to everyone.
