Taking advantage of the window over the past two days, I finally arranged the previously planned Tsukishiro Yanagi cosplay photoshoot. Since the official side just wrapped up Zenless Zone Zero Fes, I'll hop on the trend and set up a studio set pretending to take a short break at the exhibition café. Although I didn't get a ticket for the offline event, putting on this outfit and stepping onto the white display platform instantly makes it feel just right.
This look relies heavily on makeup, styling, and details. First is this short pink wig, which I specially styled to create a slightly messy layered look, paired with casual semi-rimless metal round glasses, instantly bringing out Yanagi Tsukishiro's intellectual yet somewhat introverted workplace aura. During the shoot, I didn't choose overly exaggerated or forced movements, but tried my best to relax. Holding the phone with a gold camera module on its back with one hand, and lightly placing the fingers of the other hand near my lower lip, or looking down to reply to a message—these detailed movements are what reflect that hint of professionalism, rather than just posing for the sake of posing.
The layers of the clothing were also a focus of this shoot. The pure white ruffled stand-collar shirt is very selective about body shape and lighting, but fortunately, the on-site lighting was very even, capturing both the softness and the crisp structure of the shirt. The thin blue ribbon beneath the collar is actually very eye-catching, serving as a clever visual embellishment for this look. The lower half is paired with a slim-fit black bodycon skirt and high-quality sheer black stockings; this OL-style workplace outfit is truly a classic. Of course, the coat couldn't just be worn properly; most of the khaki trench coat was just draped over the crook of my arm, retaining the casual feel of having just taken it off. Paired with a pair of black chunky-heeled platform ankle boots with silver horizontal buckles, my overall proportions were stretched beautifully.
地图Because the shooting scene was very spacious, the entire gray-and-white background was very clean. When I stood on that short white circular platform base, it naturally gave off the visual vibe of an exhibit or a showcase stage. This might be why I want to emphasize the theme of pretending to go to Zenless Zone Zero Fes, as this circular platform perfectly recreated the fixed stage atmosphere of the actual exhibition venue.
In this character, what I feel is not just a kind of refinement, but also a calm and unhurried composure. So I tried my best to keep my gaze focused but not sharp. The phone in my hand is both a prop and a medium connecting the character to daily life. I think besides looking alike on the outside, the temperament that is ingrained into your bones shouldn't be lost in cosplay.
The preparation time for this photoshoot wasn't actually long, but the final output suits my taste quite well. Especially those more slice-of-life details, such as the wrinkle handling of the large lapels and the naturally falling silhouette of the khaki coat, make this workplace outfit look very comfortable and perfect for sharing my current results with everyone. Going out to an exhibition dressed like this and grabbing a cup of coffee along the way is truly a joyful thing, and this shoot can be considered as fulfilling a tiny wish of mine to check in at the offline Zenless Zone Zero Fes.
