Sharing this Jane Doe cosplay photoshoot, where the main goal was capturing that relaxed yet razor-sharp style of New Eridu's undercover agent from Zenless Zone Zero. For the Agent outfit, I specifically chose a teal-and-black color-blocked tactical jacket featuring a white fleece collar that adds visual layering and fits the industrial survival vibe. The crisscross strap details on the sleeves look striking, while the silver metal badge on the right arm and the ROVER strap on the back instantly max out the mechanical and tactical feel. For the lower half, black leather shorts with gray piping pair with Black stockings and garter straps to elongate leg lines while conveying a dangerous, edgy coolness. The real challenge of this pairing was balancing street style with tactical aesthetics; the black and teal palette remains understated while highlighting her secretive agent identity.
For the wig, I went with long straight black hair and blunt bangs, accented by vibrant red gradient tips and a pink hair accessory on the left side, injecting lively flair into the dark aesthetic. I wore teal-blue contact lenses paired with winged eyeliner and cool-toned eyeshadow to give my gaze an intensely sharp look on camera. For the lips, I chose a matte true red to echo the red gradient tips, fusing the aloof agent's cool detachment with a hint of alluring charm. The black-to-red gradient was not just decorative, but designed to match the character lore, adding sharpness to dynamic captures.
As for the weapon props, the bladed weapon boasts rich details: a black hilt, silver blade, a dangerous crimson tip, and a bionic teal-and-red tail attached to the back that looks like a mechanical rat tail. It enhanced the visual tension of the poses and helped me get into character effortlessly. The shoot was an absolute blast; the studio was styled with curved blue neon light strips, gray concrete walls, and weathered tires to create an underground, wasteland cyberpunk mood. The weapon's paint finish and metallic sheen under the lights were crucial, and I adjusted my grip so my fingers blended seamlessly with the hilt lines to make the weapon look deadlier.
Cool-toned lighting can be tricky for complexion and makeup, but thorough base makeup and concealer, combined with the photographer's angles, kept the final images crisp and clean. I posed in a one-knee kneeling stance looking back over my shoulder, twisting my torso to display the jacket's tailoring and the weapon's clean lines while showing off the layered shorts and Black stockings. The fitted cut of the shorts accentuated the leg and waist curves when kneeling, and the smooth sheen of the stockings naturally guided the viewer's focus directly onto the character.
Maintaining an aloof yet focused expression in front of the lens matched her maverick, mysteriously dangerous essence. Prioritizing a tactical agent aesthetic meant skipping overly flashy poses in favor of a clean, sharp, and poised vibe. Though this set took some time to finish, fine-tuning the props and costume paid off with great color balance and mechanical textures. Pre-shoot prep took substantial effort—keeping the jacket's metal badges polished and preventing wrinkles in the stockings during movement were details we double-checked continuously on set.
All in all, capturing this character's essence in the studio and sharing it with everyone was a wonderful cosplay experience. As a Jane Doe cosplay endeavor, I hope I accurately conveyed the unique agent style of this Agent outfit—especially that calm, mysterious vibe under cool lighting, which truly reflects my personal interpretation of the character.
