This Promare cosplay shoot was our most extensively prepped project lately. From the moment we reviewed the Zenless Zone Zero design drafts, we pondered how to recreate that cold, gritty, and dangerous Cyberpunk temperament. Fabric selection took considerable effort: the upper bodice's semi-sheer mesh spliced with silver piping not only needed a snug, tailored fit to the body, but also had to project a mechanical edge. During fittings, I repeatedly adjusted the strappy cutouts across the chest to ensure rich dimensional tiers without visual clutter. For the wig, to capture that icy luminous blue, we utilized layered feathering and setting spray; short side-parted styles easily fly away during takes, so pomade was used to sharpen the silhouette edges.

The illuminated light baton held in hand served as the soulful Glowing prop of this shoot. To achieve an organic orange-red gradient in dark environments, we tested various LED tubes and gel filters. The challenge with self-luminous props is their tendency to blow out highlights, requiring faster shutter speeds on camera paired with external fill light to balance ambient exposure. My favorite element is the clash between the cold blue ambient lighting and the warm prop radiance, which pops vividly in Image 2. Gliding a hand across the choker while facing the lens head-on, that subtly aggressive gaze aligned seamlessly with the kinetic tempo of Zenless Zone Zero.

Throughout the shoot, the photographer constantly reminded me to monitor bodily lines, particularly transitions along the hands and waistline; hence, in Image 3, I deliberately turned sideways to elongate the silhouette, using the prop's chiaroscuro to carve contours. The bracers and leg armor in this outfit were crucial details as well—their rigid composite material restricted mobility, but that slight muscular tension actually heightened visual grip. For color grading, we preserved the deep mysterious blue undertones of the raw captures, lifting exposure slightly on facial catchlights and illuminated planes so skin tones wouldn't be swallowed by cool hues. The finished frames maximized the apocalyptic, tech-interwoven vibe.

As a fan-made creative homage, materializing such stylized designs in the real world was truly challenging. Rather than dogmatic 100% adherence, our priority was channeling immediate visual impact. Modeled by Da Niao, I operated behind the lens, pouring extensive care into composition and chiaroscuro design in hopes of capturing this aloof, captivating atmosphere in its entirety.
