[Robin Cosplay] Winged Singer in Honkai: Star Rail

This time I did a Robin cosplay from Honkai: Star Rail, shooting convention photos in Wuhan back in May, and I only recently finished sorting through the pictures. Because I personally adore this character's ethereal and gentle aura, I put a lot of effort into the details of the outfit and props.

First, regarding the costume's overall structure, the main outfit adopts a strapless tube top paired with white off-the-shoulder sleeves. The shoulder and sleeve sections are made of semi-sheer tulle, appearing light and ethereal. The chest and waist-abdomen area uses a light blue fabric with a pearlescent sheen, reflecting delicate highlights under studio lights. The skirt's gradient from white to light blue transitions very naturally, with fine gold edging along the trim so the whole dress doesn't look overly plain. The blue gem buckle on the side of the waist is the finishing touch, connecting the skirt and flowing ribbons at the back, adding depth and dynamism to the overall look.

Head accessories were equally crucial. To make the floating halo atop the head look realistic, an invisible support was hidden inside. The white feather hair accessories were also styled softly, paired with a light blue gradient wig and blue-green contact lenses, making my gaze appear gentler. The large white Angel wings on my back occupied a lot of volume; when I first put them on, my center of gravity shifted backward slightly, requiring minor stance adjustments, but to restore the character's persona, the weight was well worth it.

As for props, the staff in my hand was a central element. The top adopted a bud-like design, with dark blue and gold metallic fittings interlaced to provide excellent texture. The staff as a whole was fairly long, and holding it in hand with support at the base made my posture look tall and straight, giving me a great physical reference for posing during the shoot.

Special thanks to photographer @惜老师 for this Wuhan photoshoot booking experience—our communication was extremely smooth. The venue was a large indoor hall in Wuhan with industrial-style metallic truss structures on the ceiling and built-in stage spotlights; that vast sense of space was perfectly suited for creating an atmosphere of Robin standing on stage. During shooting, @惜老师 carefully guided my positioning and expressions, adjusted camera angles according to my wig and wing placement, and applied extensive dreamlike special effects on top of the raw shots.

Post-processing atmosphere was also maxed out. Beyond traditional skin retouching and light/shadow polishing, a purple magic circle glow was rendered on the floor, surrounded by floating translucent heart bubbles, gently falling white feathers, and musical staff notes, alongside sparkling light effects that brought the background's ethereal and dreamlike vibe to its peak. I'm extremely satisfied with the final photos. Although these photos taken in May were posted after a delay, the finished results achieved the desired texture. For friends looking to shoot similar dreamlike or angel-style cosplay, wide venues or halls with spotlights make great choices; as long as on-site lighting is controlled, post-processing offers huge creative space. Overall, from hair/makeup to photography and editing, it was a solid, enjoyable convention photo record.
