Today, this set of Ganyu cosplay photos from Genshin Impact can finally meet everyone. The reason I chose this outfit with modified Chinese-style elements is that I wanted to capture the aura of Liyue's divine beast while integrating a more casual design that aligns with modern aesthetics. The combination of white brocade fabric, blue tassel embroidery, and the black mesh patchwork at the neckline gave me a strong sense of layering the moment I put it on. The character's iconic red and black horn headpiece was adjusted with internal padding to fit my head shape perfectly, hoping to achieve the most natural visual effect without looking heavy or clumsy.
In choosing the shooting angles, we did comparison tests between the relaxed feel of the standing pose and the composed presence of the sitting pose. In the standing shot, I intentionally exaggerated the extension of my arms to mirror the character's wide-range presence; the sitting shot, on the other hand, emphasizes an elegant posture, where the hem spreads out like a fan against a plush cushion, fully capturing a sense of refined domesticity and composure. The texture of the entire outfit is excellent; the long white gloves are made of a slightly stretchy fabric that hugs the arm contour beautifully without pinching the skin, ensuring that keeping my arms raised for a long time wouldn't leave uncomfortable marks.
For the makeup and hair styling, I thinned out the ends of the light blue wig and pre-styled its curls beforehand to prevent it from looking overly puffy or heavy, making the head-to-body ratio look more balanced. In terms of makeup, I focused heavily on the combination of the base and eyeshadow. The base makeup was kept as smooth and clean as possible with a natural radiance, while the eyeshadow utilized an earth-tone base complemented by light contours. This kept it from looking too gaudy, perfectly accentuating a cool yet gentle gaze.
The solid-color background used for this shoot was also a huge help—it was clean and pure, without any extra clutter to distract the eyes, completely focusing the attention on the clothing lines and the character's expressiveness. This is not just a simple replication of an image, but an effort to get closer to the character's soul through the combination of clothing, makeup, and posture. I hope to show the character's introverted yet powerful feeling, while also serving as a record of my recent state. I'm very happy to have successfully completed this shoot and found my own rhythm in this look, and I hope this kind of anime-style photography and cosplay attempt can bring a slightly different visual experience to everyone.
