Regarding these photos of Texas the Omertosa cosplay from Arknights, I've been selecting pictures since finishing the shoot a couple of days ago. Having some free time this weekend, I sorted out the ones I'm most satisfied with to share. This time, I chose to shoot in the bedroom where natural light filtered in from the side, casting shadows across the white circular platform and floor. The overall ambiance matched my imagination of this Kemonomimi girl character in her everyday moments.
First, let's talk about the Cosplay outfit: the top combines long white sleeves with a sleeveless black cropped vest—a classic black-and-white color block structure. Paired with metal buckles and leather belts around the waist, it exudes a crisp, tactical presence when worn. The blue neckerchief and blue fingerless gloves are color-matched accents that visually echo the bright blue shorts on the lower half.
The most eye-catching part is undoubtedly this pair of black pantyhose. Many tease it as the classic "Arknights-style stockings," but in person, the visual contrast is truly stunning. The Black stockings cosplay nicely contours the leg lines, and paired with those white high-heeled ankle boots, it visually elongates body proportions. While the white boots look rugged and structured on the outside, they feature soft inner cushioning, making them comfortable even after standing for long periods.
For the wig, the blue-grey hue paired with black animal-ear hair accessories took some dedication to recreate faithfully. The ears at the crown are clipped on securely, so there was no worry of them slipping off while posing. The seated pose on the circular platform raising the sword perfectly showed off the leg lines while capturing the delicate texture of the stockings.
This greatsword was truly the heaviest prop of the shoot. The crossguard design is intricate, and the blade is long and wide, giving it substantial physical weight. Fortunately, the blade tip features a gradient red finish; though vibrant, it maintains the hefty, grounded visual texture an authentic weapon should possess. Holding it aloft with one hand or dragging it inverted wasn't easy during shooting—especially the seated pose in Photo 3 holding the sword vertically, which tested core strength and wrist stability.
Throughout the session, smartphone selfies were actually easier to control for angles than a camera, allowing me to monitor framing in real time. The mirror selfie clearly displays the full-body structure. The white circular platform was a dedicated photo prop bought separately, padded with a blue cushion, allowing seamless switching between standing and seated poses to keep the shooting pace swift. Due to the high-heeled boots, my center of gravity shifted slightly backward while standing, but once accustomed to the angle, adjusting posture made standing very steady.
After years of cosplaying, I've found that shooting in a cozy, familiar space often brings more natural relaxation than scouring for complex outdoor locations. There's no need to worry about passersby or rush against the clock. The makeup this time was relatively subtle, pairing with this tactical yet casual styling to present a more grounded character persona. The wig was styled with distinct, well-proportioned layers without appearing bulky, and the bangs length framed the face just right. The lightweight ear props remained upright securely above the wig.
In recreating Texas the Omertosa, I feel what matters most is that sharp, decisive attitude and the fine details of the accessories—like the small pouches on the belt and strap details on the cuffs. Wielding the prop greatsword felt fantastic; despite its heft, a greatsword needs that exact weight to look cool. The matte finish of the white boots provided a sleek material contrast with the metallic sword hilt without stealing the spotlight. Tied together with the classic blue, white, and black palette, the character truly came to life.
I really want to praise these black stockings: the fine, matte texture without harsh glare beautifully flattered the muscle contour and tone, which is why I specifically shot a leg-raised seated pose to showcase the transition between the hemline and tights. The entire shoot lasted over three hours, cycling through standing, sitting, and sword-raising poses. While my waist and legs grew a bit sore from holding postures, seeing the final photos made every effort worthwhile. Having referenced in-game illustrations and stances extensively, I strove to express my personal interpretation through cosplay while respecting canonical designs. The final retouches were restrained, preserving organic skin and fabric textures for authentic depth and lived-in charm rather than relying on heavy digital manipulation.
