A lot of effort went into the early preparation for this Azur Lane Chien Wu Qipao look. The overall tone of the outfit is peacock blue, featuring delicate textured subtle patterns on the fabric that produce subtle color changes under the light. The addition of large-scale orange-red floral patterns breaks the dullness of the dark tone, creating a very strong visual contrast. To faithfully recreate the original design, the halter, backless cut, and high-slit design place high demands on figure and posture, so some shoulder, neck, and leg stretching exercises were done before the official shoot to ensure a relaxed and natural posture in front of the camera.

The wig features natural-textured black short hair with blunt bangs, trimmed with fine layers, paired with red colored contacts and a bold red lip makeup look to enhance facial visual impact. To keep the makeup dimensional under strong light, the tones of the eyeshadow and blush were carefully coordinated. As for the headpieces, the edges of the deep blue flowers are adorned with pearls, while a long pearl necklace and slender dangling earrings on the neck complement each other. The hand prop is a deep blue hollow-carved folding fan with black feathers along the edge, which not only enriches hand movements but also serves as a great visual guide during composition.

The lower body is paired with translucent stockings featuring black lace trim and black pointed-toe high heels with subtle glitter. The presentation of leg lines is a key point when photographing high-slit outfits; actions like looking back sideways or leaning with crossed legs allow the texture of the black stockings and shoes to be fully displayed while making the overall posture look more tense and expressive. Poses with this kind of distinct personality are definitely worth trying as posing references.

The scene layout uses Chinese wooden circular frameworks, vintage-style vanity cases, and plants such as wisteria and white flower branches. The ambient light during the shoot was relatively soft, combined with a backlighting effect that outlined a nice silhouette around the character. Softboxes and reflectors were used in the studio to control light and shadow, clearly separating the subject from the environmental atmosphere and avoiding interference from a cluttered background. Especially when taking close-ups, using a wide aperture to blur the background further highlights the character's gaze and emotions.

During the shooting process, to capture the moments of floating hair and following gazes, the angles and the blocking position of the fan were adjusted repeatedly. Sometimes, waiting for a well-timed beam of light required holding the same pose for a long time. From the styling and props to the scene, the entire set of photos strives to match the unique temperament of Chien Wu from Azur Lane, and I hope this set of photos can provide fellow fans with some ideas for poses and composition.
