Set against a blue sky with white clouds, this photo set aims to capture a moment that is both casual and filled with youthful energy. Wearing a JK uniform featuring an off-white knit vest and green plaid pleated skirt, paired with mint green over-the-knee socks and classic black loafers, the entire color palette blends naturally with the outdoor environment. The light pink straight long wig swaying softly in the breeze, alongside clean glass railings, sets a fresh and bright tone for this photoshoot.

The original concept was walking outside on an ordinary weekend like a normal high school girl, carrying my beloved mint green electric guitar. The wig was a custom light pink straight long wig, and when the wind blew right during shooting, it truly added a touch of lively dynamics to the frame. The texture of the prop was also something I paid extra attention to this time; the color of this electric guitar actually looks brighter under outdoor reflections, and the mint green body creates a lovely color resonance with the light green shade of the JK skirt.

The photographer and I walked up and down the modern glass railing staircase many times to find the perfect angle of light and shadow. The glance back in Photo 1 was actually because the wind was strong at that moment, and we wanted to capture the floating hair—sometimes natural, casual moments look much better than rigid poses. Photo 2's composition leaves a large area of sky; although the person appears relatively small in the frame, that open feel fits the theme of "searching" perfectly. Placing the main subject near the bottom of the frame actually highlights the vastness and sense of freedom in the sky.

Shooting vibrant outdoor scenes like this is physically demanding in preparation, especially in bright outdoor light, repeatedly finding camera positions under the hot sun, or waiting for a cloud to cover the intense sunlight. However, seeing how the blue sky, white clouds, and outfit colors harmonize in the final photos made all the fatigue fade away. In Photo 3, where I lean against the glass curtain wall looking down and plucking the strings, I was actually faking "finding the groove"—the metal strings of the guitar have delicate reflections under natural light, and the reflections in the glass add extra depth.

As for asking who wants to form a band in the post, I indeed shot this set with that scenario in mind. Perhaps because I was posing with the guitar quite earnestly, the surrounding atmosphere felt truly immersive. To me as a cosplayer, bringing a character to life isn't just about putting on the costume, but matching that energetic, slightly naive, yet deeply driven vibe.

Since the sunlight was intense on a clear day, I suppressed the highlights a bit during color grading to restore the true colors of the outfit and the guitar body. The hue of the blue sky was also fine-tuned accordingly to make it look softer and cleaner, avoiding letting harsh outdoor light ruin the gentle mood the photos were meant to have. While shooting on the glass staircase, we did encounter curious glances from passersby, but since it was a serious photoshoot, as long as we captured those magical fleeting moments, external distractions didn't matter.

This photo set counts as one of my most satisfying recent works, not only because of the crystal-clear feel of the outdoor location, but also thanks to my friend who helped shoot that day, giving me plenty of great suggestions for composition and mood guidance tailored to the moment. Casual, everyday Girl photography in a JK uniform looks simple on the surface, but actually demands deep understanding from the cosplayer regarding the character's mindset. Rather than forcing awkward poses, it's better to imagine oneself as that high school girl wandering around on a weekend afternoon with a guitar, facing the lens in the most natural state. I hope this living, everyday feel can be conveyed through these images.
