Today, putting on a long straight Pink wig, slipping into a white short-sleeved shirt with a light yellow V-neck knit vest, and tying a green tie, I aimed for a collaborative vibe combining Chihaya Anon cosplay and Nyamu cosplay. During pre-shoot preparations, I carefully compared the official color schemes and picked this wig with a natural hair sheen, ensuring the pink tone wouldn't look out of place under the restaurant's warm lighting. I spent quite a while adjusting the shirt collar shape and the looseness of the tie knot to ensure the neck and shoulder lines suited the character's school vibe in this Uniform styling. When deciding on the photoshoot concept, I wanted to break away from traditional studio setups and complete this cosplay work in a real dining space during a casual Restaurant check-in, as everyday scenes often bring out a character's most natural state.
As for props, the chibi plush doll with short purple hair was the crowning touch; its uniform details and red accents echoed my outfit perfectly. To amp up visual impact, I prepared this exaggeratedly oversized metal fork beforehand. During the shoot, the photographer suggested I spear a white cubic piece of food with the fork to partially block my face—a clever composition that bypassed the challenge of capturing the character's exact canon expression, instead adding a quirky, playful daily charm. Flashing a peace sign with my left hand while cradling the plush doll in my right maintained visual balance. The restaurant environment was ideal for everyday-style photos; the light-colored wallpaper, green emergency exit sign, and spherical pendant lamps in the background conveyed authentic urban everyday realism. We didn't clear the venue intentionally; the occasional blurred passersby in the background actually gave the composition more depth.
The trickiest part of the shoot was that the food was too soft and easily slid off the fork, taking over a dozen attempts to nail that exact moment. For lighting, the overhead spherical lamps provided a nice cool-white light source, so post-processing only required subtle tweaks to skin tones and contrast, preserving the authentic textures of the food and the uniform. I believe cosplay isn't just about wearing costumes for photos, but about finding small details in daily life that resonate with the character—such as the angle of the plush doll or how to grip that giant fork, all reflecting an understanding of the character. To keep the Pink wig looking fluffy on camera, I continually combed through the strands during breaks to ensure ideal hair texture in every frame. The entire shoot went smoothly, completing this long-anticipated everyday series in a relaxed, joyful atmosphere—a truly wonderful experience.
