[Sumi Serina Cosplay] Christmas Nurse from Blue Archive, Bringing You Winter Warmth

This Christmas-themed location shoot turned out much better than expected. The outfit features a red-and-white Christmas cosplay short jacket paired with black tights and white platform plush boots, creating a strong color contrast with a rich winter atmosphere. Black gloves add a sleek touch to the overall outfit, while the red beret on the head paired with a black bow tie makes the look even more playful. The hair color used a softer pink this time, which coordinated wonderfully with the Christmas scene when combined with specific styling.

The venue was chosen at a teahouse café in Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland Park. The scene blended elements like wooden cabins, cedars, firewood stacks, and sleds, with artificial snow covering plants and wood to create a strong winter real-scene feel. Although the snow was fake, the captured texture looked very realistic. Combined with the surrounding wooden fences, the enclosure of the scene was great, leaving no exposure of off-theme backgrounds.

Regarding lighting, I highly recommend doing Guangzhou location photography around 4:30 in the afternoon. The sun's angle at this moment is very low, carrying a natural warm yellow saturation. The side-backlight shining down not only gives the snow scene rich depth, but also makes skin tones look remarkably translucent. During this time frame, the facial highlight-and-shadow transitions on the model feel very smooth, and the color accuracy of the red-and-white outfit is at its peak, requiring almost no heavy post-processing color grading to achieve great light and shadow quality.

As for props, we used red-and-green gift boxes adorned with little reindeer patterns, a hand-shaken golden bell, and a woven basket filled with bread. To add a sense of movement to static photos, we specifically captured the moment of tossing a gift box into the air, using the floating state to break the stiffness of still props. In the final shot sitting inside the sled, the leg extension looks fantastic; the pairing of black tights and white boots creates a great vertical extension in the frame, making the figure look relaxed and confident.

Outdoor interactive shots with the bell worked wonders as well—holding the golden bell with red and green ribbons against a Christmas tree backdrop filled the scene with holiday atmosphere. After moving inside the wooden cabin, the lighting turned into soft indoor ambient light. Using a waist-up composition here, holding bread and looking straight into the lens, created an atmosphere leaning toward warmth and everyday comfort.

As someone who loves shooting atmospheric outdoor Anime cosplay, this combination of venue and timing truly met expectations. Although the fake snow was a bit slippery underfoot, as long as your center of gravity remained stable in platform boots, sitting or squatting in the sled was quite easy. This location is indeed perfect for winter-themed shoots without needing overly complex scene props—just bring your character costume, and together with the natural site set, you can produce high-quality work. The entire shooting process went very smoothly with a great experience, making it the kind of location where you can generate amazing photos almost instantly.
