[Plana cosplay] Blue Archive Plana: Mid-Autumn Offline Fan Moment Log at Chengdu BAO

This Plana cosplay look involved extensive polishing of small details. For the wig, I selected long straight silver-white hair featuring blunt fringe bangs and face-framing side strands, with a small braid woven on the left and secured with a red elastic band. The red halo prop atop the head was stabilized using a clear acrylic bracket to prevent wobbling during the shoot. As for wardrobe, the inner layer is a navy-blue sailor-style dress detailed with a white neck bow and circular white chest emblems, layered under a loose-fitting long black trench coat. The lower half was styled with black pantyhose stockings and black patent chunky-heeled loafers, complemented by a black choker around the neck. On the prop side, I prepped a furled black long-handled umbrella and a compact black notebook.

Teaming up with boss Qiyi at Chengdu BAO over the Mid-Autumn holiday to bring Plana to life was an absolute delight. Boss Qiyi had an incredible eye for character nuances, offering plenty of expert guidance on everything from wig styling to garment adjustments. We continuously refined the lighting and framing on location, experimenting with full-length and medium crops across various angles. To channel the character's serene, quietly aloof and languid temperament, I adjusted my posture deliberately: the first frame adopts a standing stance with arms crossed and head subtly tilted down while holding the umbrella and notebook, evoking an enigmatic storybook feel; the second shot captures me leaning against a dark doorframe, resting my chin on one hand with my gaze meeting the lens directly. Cool natural daylight pouring through the window, paired with monochromatic black and white drapery in the background, set a tonal mood perfectly attuned to her ambiance.

Seeing boss Qiyi's Plana in person was breathtakingly adorable and spot-on—collaborating with such an accomplished cosplayer felt like checking off an offline fan-meeting bucket list item. From garment textiles to the scale and proportions of every prop, each element was thoroughly double-checked. The long black coat offered a clean, elegant drape that formed organic ripples in motion, while the stocking denier and shoe luster presented rich, tactile clarity on camera. Despite the hectic schedule on shooting day, reviewing the final photos made all the preparation worthwhile. Using natural window light indoors alongside simple black and white curtains for light blocking, we formed clean, visually striking compositions. Subtle wisps of hair fluttering in the breeze set against the vibrant red halo anchored the visual focus cleanly. This entire journey was not merely portraying a beloved character, but also a heartwarming, memorable exchange with a fellow fan. I truly hope everyone enjoys this Plana set produced at Chengdu BAO.
