[Kuromi Serika Cosplay] Blue Archive: A Refreshing Freeze-Frame by the Blue Pool

Let's get straight to the point and talk about this set of Kuromi Serika cosplay swimsuit photos. Although it was shot on an indoor set, the overall visual presentation recreates the fresh feel of a summer beach as much as possible. The black-and-white halter ruffled swimsuit heavily tests one's figure, especially the off-the-shoulder and midriff-baring design, which both preserves the character's cute elements and perfectly fits the summer pool theme. For props, we prepared cute plush toys, blue-and-white cardboard boxes, a watermelon, a life buoy, and a deep-blue water-reflection board effect. The pink cross halo on top of the head and the black cat-ear headband are also major sources of character recognition. In terms of makeup, it was matched with red colored contacts and a highly translucent base, striving to present that unique temperament of the character. The photographer, Tansuan Shaonian (炭酸少年), was very particular about light and shadow, specially unifying the overall tone with large areas of blue and white, and the details of the water reflection also elevated the texture of the photos significantly. The final photos capture both the desired lively feel and a casual sense of ease sitting next to the plush toys, making it a highly enjoyable creative experience. The blue twin-tails took some time to style in order to maintain the overall silhouette. Shooting in this kind of ruffled off-the-shoulder swimsuit actually requires constant attention to posture to keep the shoulder and neck lines elegant; behind every photo are multiple micro-adjustments to poses and angles. The light blue plush fish toy in the scene was perfect for various prop interactions, filling the frame with a sense of story. Seeing the final results made all the tedious little hassles during set building feel highly worthwhile. This time I've only posted part of the finished photos; the rest are still being carefully selected. Each one has a different feel, and I look forward to sharing more different facets of the character Kuromi Serika from the work Blue Archive with everyone later. During the shoot, special attention was paid to the angle of the studio overhead highlights, making the shimmering water texture look more natural and vivid. The blue-and-white striped elements and fake coconut trees in the background also worked together to create a resort-style visual atmosphere. The entire shooting process was smooth and efficient, with excellent cooperation across all stages. I hope this set of works can convey the refreshing breeze of summer. During post-processing color grading, we also deliberately preserved the clear blue keynote to reinforce that refreshing feeling of frolicking by the pool, which perfectly matches Kuromi Serika's summer swimwear setting. I also tried some different squatting and sitting poses to make the overall lines look softer. Another thing to overcome was adapting to the water; after all, sitting on this reflective film to take photos feels a bit unfamiliar at first, but after overcoming it, I was able to fully immerse myself in the character's state. I hope everyone likes this summer-themed work. Next, I will continue to think about how to enrich the expressiveness of this character through works of other styles, so that friends who follow me can see a different side of Kuromi Serika. The weather on the day of the shoot was also highly cooperative; although it was an indoor studio shoot, the translucent light made my mood very pleasant. Every time I see the iconic long blue hair and red eyes in the finished photos, I feel that all the preparation and effort that day paid off. This piece of work is a freeze-frame of summer time in Blue Archive, as well as a small test of my own cosplay level, and I'm very happy to have completed it smoothly.
