I am Kuki Shinobu, the second-in-command of the Arataki Gang. Our Arataki Gang undertakes a wide range of businesses, including freight logistics, security maintenance, roof leak patching, live performance singing, and so forth. If you encounter any troublesome matters that cannot be solved, just give me a call anytime. Today, taking advantage of this newly released set of commission photos, I'd like to chat with you all about my true experience of putting out photos in this outfit—consider it another form of self-expression outside of work.

Let's first talk about the texture and details of this styling at first glance. The material distribution of this costume is highly rich; the purple blouse on the upper body adopts a relatively light and smooth fabric, cooperating with the glossy black leather cinched breastplate. This interweaving of matte and luster instantly turns the overall sense of layering up to the max. Those few golden armor pieces at the collar and waist are very heavy but also highly accurate to the character; the physical weight after putting them on instantly lets me immerse into the character's swift and resolute state. The black leather shorts on the lower body merge purple decorations and golden patterns, cooperating with the purplish-red gradient leather leg guards on the legs, as well as the open-toe lace-up sandals on the feet—all of which are highly dazzling parts of the entire look. That red crescent-shaped mark on the thigh was pasted on in post-production, and cooperating with the overall outfit, its visual impact is quite excellent.

Next, let's chat about the wig and makeup. The light mint-green high-tied hair, plus that eye-catching red hair ring, is one of the character's iconic characteristics. To give the wig distinct layers, the stylist performed highly precise trimming and volumizing treatments on the bangs. Cooperating with the bright blue colored contacts, heavy blue-toned eyeshadow, and deliberately enlarged eyeliner, it makes both eyes look exceptionally spirited and carries a touch of fierce temperament. Throughout the shooting process of the entire six photosets, this hairstyle maintained a highly superior level of stability, without any awkward scattering or messing up.

Let's talk about the scene and movement details during shooting. Photo 1 was taken in a pure white backdrop studio. This pose is actually quite a test of balance: standing on a single leg, holding a purplish-black short blade in one hand, while making a 'shh' gesture with the other hand, looking back at the camera. This movement not only fully displays the entire outfit and body curves but also embodies the character's casual, unrestrained yet capable traits. Photo 2 adopts a high overhead angle view, holding a long sword with both hands, with a gaze filled with an overwhelming sense of suppression, highly suitable for expressing the on-the-spot tension of combat. Photo 3 switches to an outdoor real-scene grass atmosphere; cooperating with the blue and green Slime props beside me, the posture of sitting and extending a hand looks exceptionally relaxed and natural, as if genuinely casually chatting with everyone at the Arataki Gang's stronghold.

The subsequent three sets of real-scene studio photos, I feel, showcase another side of the character's daily life even more beautifully. Photo 4 features sitting in front of a small desk, holding a scroll in one hand and a brush in the other, even needing to strike a contemplating expression, bringing out the character's core identity of possessing both martial prowess and strategic acumen. Photo 5 holds a black short flute, cooperating with the calligraphy curtains behind and the warm yellow lantern light, combined with the blurred greenery in the foreground; the entire frame's blended atmosphere of Chinese and Japanese styles is excellent, and the flute-playing action also embodies the calm and peace inside the character's heart. As for Photo 6, a game of Go is laid out in front of me with carefully arranged black and white stones; I prop up my chin looking at the chessboard, and that tactical, far-sighted demeanor perfectly fits the identity of coordinating everything as the gang's second-in-command.

As a long-time cosplay enthusiast, I deeply know that simply putting on a suit of clothes doesn't count as true recreation; what matters more is capturing the character's 'soul' or 'charm'. The character Kuki Shinobu might look a bit taciturn on the surface, and even frequently has to clean up messes in the gang, but her heart is actually exceptionally reliable and principled, and she personally takes charge of gang affairs down to the smallest detail. When shooting this photoset, I kept intentionally holding back overly lively expressions, trying my best to maintain a calm, professional, and reliable facial state, hoping to transmit this introverted yet firm temperament to those viewing the photos.

The entire preparation time for this photoshoot was actually quite long—from trimming the wig to matching the armor accessories, and then transferring between different scenes, every single segment was inseparable from the dedication of every master in the team. This also made me realize that whether managing gang business in reality or devoting oneself to the cosplay hobby, it both requires patience and focus. The final effect presented by this work, I personally feel, is a great recreation of the character's personality and look, and it also makes me look forward even more to attempting more looks carrying a touch of martial arts and fantasy colors in the future.
