Today's studio shoot for this Raiden Ei cosplay from Honor of Kings took nearly six hours from makeup and styling to the end of the shoot. The wig has a silver-gray base with a streak of bright red highlights, and a lot of hairspray was used during styling to hold those sharp, messy layers in place. To highlight the character's temperament in the makeup, the eyeliner was elongated, and light-colored contact lenses were worn to increase the oppressive feel of the gaze. Dark red lipstick was used on the lips, echoing the red texture on the clothes.

The structure of the costume is more complex than imagined. The upper body is an asymmetric black bodysuit, with mesh patching and red rib-like patterns on the sides of the waist. Silver armor with a metallic texture is fixed at the shoulder and neck position; it has some weight, but once worn, the shoulder and neck lines immediately look sharp and neat. The arms are wrapped with wide white cloth strips, paired with black half-finger gloves, creating a contrast between the rough texture of the fabric and the glossy surface of the leather. The lower body is black tight shorts, paired with asymmetric stockings, with silver stripe decorations on one leg. A long black train with red totems trails behind, which creates momentum when walking and imposes certain restrictions on the range of motion. Black chunky-heeled short boots are worn on the feet, and the overall styling leans towards a combat feel and dark style.

The shoot was divided into three different sets. For the high-key white background group, the lighting was very bright and penetrating, making the material of the clothes, the texture of the mesh, and the luster of the metal accessories clearly visible. Because the background was clean, all visual focus fell on the action and expression. I tried a pose with one hand raised and the other hand reaching forward, with five fingers curved into a claw shape, paired with a direct gaze, making the image more tense. The low-key gray background group added side backlighting, casting shadows on the cheeks and the folds of the clothing, enhancing the three-dimensional sense. This group mainly featured crouching forward poses and standing poses; crouching required tightening the core strength, and finding the correct stress points for the knees and ankles, otherwise unstable center of gravity would make the captured movements look loose.

The photo of lying on that black baffle was tried during a break in the middle. Only the head and hands were exposed, with palms open resting on the edge, looking like observing or preparing to pounce. This composition is quite interesting, highlighting the details of the gaze and hands.

Actually, after putting on this outfit, the restrictions on movement are quite large, especially with some large arm swings, which are easily caught by the hard armor. Therefore, after finishing each action, the position of the clothing had to be adjusted. To ensure the success rate of the photos, I constantly adjusted the angles of my hands and waist in front of the camera, trying to perfectly present the body proportions and clothing details. Judging from the final photos, the sharpness of the gaze and the detail restoration of the clothing both achieved the expected results. Although the whole process was tiring, seeing the final photos made all this energy feel worth it.
