This time I attempted a Nahida Cosplay from Genshin Impact, with the core of the overall styling centered on that agile and natural feel unique to the Dendro Archon. A lighter-weight wig was selected, featuring subtle light-green gradient highlights on the ends and inner layers. Paired with the golden leaf headpiece at the crown, the visual anchor of accuracy falls on these top styled layers. The bangs were trimmed relatively straight; paired with dark, large-diameter contact lenses and eye makeup, the gaze feels innocent and clear, closely aligning with the character's divine lore setting.
For the outfit, the top features a dark base paired with multi-layered white-and-green sleeve cuffs. The wide bell sleeves create a lovely flowing feel when walking. The gold arm guards at the wrists serve as striking metal-textured details in this ensemble, with relief patterns adding to the overall refinement. The lower skirt incorporates multi-layered ruffles and leaf-shaped spliced cuts, forming a unified design language with the upper body. The boots on her feet are one of my favorite parts—a white base complemented by crisscrossing gold straps and cutout designs, which not only visually elongate the leg lines but also add depth to the Anime-inspired casual outfit styling.
The shooting background was chosen in a cozy, lived-in corner of my home, where green checkerboard walls clash with pink walls, perfectly echoing my white-and-green costume tones. On the adjacent blue cabinet sits a retro game console and an old-fashioned TV, along with scattered cables, giving the image a relaxed everyday feel so it doesn't look overly sterile or rigid. During shooting, I tried a seated posture resting my chin in both hands while leaning slightly forward; this pose appears obedient while showcasing the sleeve and hand accessory details. The small green plant-shaped plush toy next to me unexpectedly became the finishing touch, as its floral garland and leaf elements matched my outfit's theme flawlessly.
In truth, adjusting this wig required considerable effort. High twin-ponytails combined with straight bangs easily create messiness or flattened hair at the crown, requiring multi-layered teasing and setting spray to maintain volume. The makeup focus was on eye shadow blending, using earth tones to deepen eye sockets and highlights at the inner corners and aegyo sal. Thus, even under direct flash photography, the eyes remain intensely expressive. Lip makeup used a glossy transparent lip glaze to emphasize a clear, natural texture, preventing heavy lip color from stealing away the cool yet gentle atmosphere.
Regarding props, besides the green Dendro-themed plush toy, the golden headpiece was treated with an antiqued brass tone rather than a harsh, reflective bright gold, preventing an overly plastic look. I am very satisfied with the final output; using direct indoor flash photography created crisp shadows that beautifully preserved character contours and costume layering without overexposure or detail loss. This Nahida Cosplay shoot, though short, was rich in preparation—from outfit dressing details and wig adjustments to coordinating props and scenes, making the process even more enjoyable than the photos themselves. Bringing that compact, wisdom-filled elf-like presence from the Role-playing game into reality and expressing flat 2D character settings through 3D styling is the most charming aspect of cosplay. The vintage console in the room and this magical attire created a delightful gap-moe contrast, making this collision of retro daily style and fantasy characters truly engaging.
