Since my seniors have spoken, I must show the full picture of this finished set. After finishing the Version 3.7 main story, Madam Herta's clever and tsundere image was truly memorable, so I was highly motivated for this shoot from the very beginning. This time, we chose two completely different scenes: a vintage study and a holographic shimmering wall. The leather sofa and picture frame elements in the study set fit her slightly mysterious scholar aura, while the shimmering wall set adds a modern sci-fi touch, allowing the blue and purple tones of the costume to reflect richer layers. In costume preparation, the accuracy of the hat and staff was the most crucial part for me. That iconic large pointed hat required built-in supports to keep its sharp shape, and the outer glossy fabric and subtle pattern printing demanded high standards for tailoring details. The silver-white fretwork embroidery on the hem is meticulously crafted. Combined with the layered ruffled sleeves and hollowed-out leather corset, although it feels heavily layered to wear, the three-dimensional visual effect comes out instantly. During the shoot, I experimented with different prop interactions, such as holding a heavy spellbook or raising the staff, tilting my body to show the dynamic movement of the skirt hem. For the makeup part, I chose a light pinkish-purple wig and matching makeup to highlight a cool yet naturally playful vibe. The wig was styled quite smoothly, with very little frizz visually. From the vintage scene to the shimmering wall, you can clearly feel the shift in the character's temperament through these sets of movements. This Madam Herta cosplay can be counted as one of my more satisfying recent works. It not only recreates the character design but also incorporates some personal experiments with materials, light, and shadow. Overall, shooting cosplay is truly a continuous process of fussing over details, but I feel the results of this photo set are totally worth the early preparation of Honkai: Star Rail.
