[Elysia Cosplay] Yearning to Flow with the Moonlight: Breathtaking Moments of Serene Moon & Slender Grace

Today, I finally finished organizing this set of 'Serene Moon & Slender Grace' photos. Cosplaying Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd took a tremendous amount of care from initial preparation to the actual shoot. This outfit is packed with intricate details—especially the white-and-gold trimmed outer robe, where the heart-shaped cutouts and pink gemstones boast wonderful textures that translated very faithfully on camera. To keep the garment looking airy and weightless, multiple layers of fine tulle were incorporated inside, allowing the skirt to billow beautifully as I walked and evoking an otherworldly, celestial elegance.

Styling the wig was also a major undertaking. The two looped bunny-ear buns atop the head needed a solid foundation and plenty of styling spray to hold their form; to ensure nothing came undone during the shoot, I concealed numerous bobby pins in hidden spots. Paired with golden osmanthus hair ornaments and fluffy white pom-poms, it carried noticeable weight, but once worn, that signature sweetness immediately shone through. For makeup, to complement her eye shape, I specifically chose purple contact lenses, layered shades of pink and red for the eye shadow, and added a subtle upward flick to the eyeliner at the outer corners. The makeup wasn't overly heavy, yet it looked exceptionally vibrant and bright before the lens.

The set was also constructed with great effort. The classical Chinese ambiance—complete with a circular moon gate and carved wooden lattice windows—had immense charm. A reflective film was deliberately laid across the floor so that when the camera was angled low, it created the illusion of rippling water reflections. Because the hemline was quite long, posing required extra caution to keep the folds looking natural. Spreading the skirt out required careful, section-by-section adjustments to achieve that effortless, flowing cascade. The round silk fan and calligraphy brush in my hands served as wonderful props; holding them naturally infused every pose with narrative depth.

During the shoot, interacting with the little white rabbit in my hands alongside the white crane ornament made the entire scene feel incredibly soothing and healing. To elevate the visual presentation, I paired this look with White stockings, which beautifully accentuated the leg contours whether seated or reclining. In seated poses, the red sash and metallic chains around the waist snatched the waistline nicely while framing the bust contours. For the shot lying on the wooden floor, the photographer specifically had me relax my body to take advantage of the floor reflections, capturing a luminous, translucent texture.

My overall feeling from this shoot is that even though donning the attire and wig was rather cumbersome and left my neck aching after a while, seeing the final outcome under the warm studio lighting made every bit of effort worth it. In particular, the warm lighting washing over the white tulle of the dress looked remarkably soft, and together with the cherry blossom boughs and white crane on set, gave the frame immense depth. The entire shoot went smoothly, and it gave me an even deeper appreciation for the character's demeanor.
