Today's set was completed in a photo studio, and I'd like to share the shooting details behind this Campus-style photo shoot. Since I usually love an upbeat aesthetic, I prepared a crisp white shirt and a deep navy pleated skirt, accented with a vibrant red scarf tie. To inject playful 2D anime charm, I specially accessorized with a black cat-ear headband and tied my long hair into Cat ears twintails. The makeup leaned toward soft pink tones, emphasizing generous blush and rosily flushed lips to evoke that youthful vigor unique to an Energetic girl.
The set dressing was straightforward: a vintage wooden classroom desk and chair. The pure white seamless backdrop locked full viewer focus onto the subject and props without distracting clutter. Besides the furniture, props included a brown leather schoolbag and vintage textbooks—nuances that brought student-life authenticity to the frames. On a blank white set, props carry tremendous weight; standing or sitting idly without environmental framing easily looks rigid, so I actively engaged with these elements.
For styling, I chose over-the-knee black stockings and brown platform loafers. The black stockings beautifully contoured my leg lines to showcase Long legs in black stockings while chromatically echoing the dark skirt. The soles of the loafers featured subtle skull embossments—hidden during normal walking, but flashing a cool edge whenever I kicked my feet up to inject an appealing contrast into the sweet ensemble.
Keeping poses natural rather than forced was key. I avoided sitting bolt upright: crossing my legs on the chair with a slight forward lean, resting one hand on the desk while letting the other drape naturally, carved flattering bodily curves while elongating the leg lines. Leaning across the desk with chin cupped in both hands while smiling into the camera fostered intimate eye contact. Resting an elbow on the surface to cradle one cheek flattered facial proportions while conveying relaxed, effortless charm.
The desk and chair opened up playful versatility: perching directly on the desktop with one foot planted on the adjacent chair while hoisting the schoolbag captured an uninhibited, spirited personality. Leaning back against the desk, kicking one leg back, and glancing over my shoulder showcased the skirt pleats and leg contours. Holding books for reading felt classic—rather than holding them stiffly, pretending to read or raising the book to veil half my face introduced a hint of mystery. Clasping both twintails was another signature anime pose that highlighted hairstyle details and added cheekiness. Maintaining dropped shoulders and an upright spine kept posture crisp and alert. The twintail height underwent multiple adjustments; tying them too low appeared lackluster, while tying them too high looked exaggerated, finally anchoring them right by the ears for an ageless, balanced lift.
The even light of a pure white studio demands expressive facial control and dynamic posing rather than relying on atmospheric lighting. Throughout the shoot, the photographer offered patient guidance to capture genuine candid moments. Because movements were dynamic—such as sitting on desks or perching on chairs—monitoring the top cuffs of the black stockings ensured they stayed smooth, flat, and free of rolling. Blending cat ears with a classic JK uniform created the ideal energetic campus vibe, and refining every movement ensured the final frames felt wonderfully vivid and alive.
