The Guangzhou anime convention photos from this Firefly ACG Expo are finally sorted out—the day of the shoot was truly bursting with energy! Though the convention floor was packed with crowds, photographer NightDiva and I managed to squeeze into a spot on the plaza outside the hall, discovering this backdrop full of urban aesthetic. Dusk was approaching, and the sky behind the buildings displayed a sleek, deep blue-violet hue that formed a lovely warm-cool contrast with the white, purple, and gold of my outfit. We used off-camera strobe lights for fill lighting, so even as the background darkened, the subject remained exceptionally bright and crisp, capturing fabric textures and wig luster beautifully.

Speaking of this orange hair, styling it required immense effort: from choosing hair fibers and dyeing to braiding those signature "lantern braids" tied section by section with ribbons, the entire process really tested my patience. Plus, the costume featured numerous tassels and small charms, so after putting it on, I had to constantly mind my posture to prevent wrinkles from compromising the overall look. That day we shot many different angles and expressions—some cupping my cheeks playfully, some making cute peace signs, and others closing my eyes while extending my arms to feel the evening breeze. Dynamic snapshotting was actually quite tiring because I had to maintain body stability while controlling facial expressions, but seeing the final photos made it all worthwhile. The standing pose in particular fully exhibited the costume's tailoring and leg contours, which, paired with high-heeled sandals, gave the overall look fantastic visual extension—I personally love that freeze-frame moment.

NightDiva's pacing for Cosplay photography was immensely professional, guiding my gaze and hand placement right at the shutter click to keep compositions artistic yet natural. The outfit design is truly distinctive—asymmetrical sleeve covers, the round plush prop at the side waist, and metallic shoe embellishments all breathed vivid life into this character from Wuthering Waves. This convention shoot gave me fresh perspectives on cosplay: while outdoor shoots are heavily impacted by lighting, location, and weather, finding proper angles and fill-light setups can fully unleash a character's bright, lively charm. Sharing these photos, I hope everyone can feel my joy from that day, and my heartfelt thanks to the photographer for preserving these authentic moments.
