[Furina Cosplay] Genshin Impact Hydro Archon's Blue and White Suit: A Natural Casual Shoot in a Translucent Atrium

This blue and white color-schemed Furina cosplay session was completed in a well-lit indoor atrium. During the shoot, the natural light happened to pass through the glass curtain wall, illuminating the surrounding environment beautifully.

For this shoot, I wore Furina's classic patchwork-designed blue and white suit jacket from Genshin Impact. Rather than blindly pursuing a 100% replication of the official illustration, I wanted to manifest the structural beauty of the costume itself within a real-scene shoot. The shoulders feature noticeable padding, which, paired with the stiff suit fabric, makes one's shoulder and back lines appear highly extended and relaxed when worn. The blue bow at the waist, adorned with a round gemstone pendant with a gold frame, serves as the visual centerpiece of the entire upper body; whether standing straight or in a sitting pose like in photo five, the rich layering of the waist is clearly rendered. The hem features an asymmetric cut; when walking or making larger turning movements, the fabric lifts gracefully with the motion, bringing an excellent dynamic effect. The gold-and-white totem print incorporated into the edges of the shorts is meticulously crafted, with the prominent patterns standing out against the dark base. As for the black ultra-high-heeled platform shoes paired with white folded calf-length socks, this combination heavily emphasizes the extension of leg proportions, requiring a well-balanced center of gravity when stepping on the mirrored floor.

This photo set was intentionally shot in a corridor featuring a massive floor-to-ceiling window. Looking through the glass, one can see the lushly growing green plants outside, creating a very comfortable cold-and-warm contrast between this natural greenery and the deep blue costume in the foreground. The ambient light on location acted like a natural softbox, making the skin texture look exceptionally clean and uniform when casting upon the face. Furthermore, because the floor was a reflective material, I kept an eye on my reflection underneath when posing. Sitting sideways on the metallic horizontal bar with one leg suspended in the air like in photo five, combined with the floor's reflection, makes the composition look much more multi-layered. Under this translucent lighting, the pressure for post-processing color grading was greatly reduced, requiring only proper exposure control to restore the true color accuracy of the clothing.

In the first few images, I tried standing on one leg and lifting my leg, primarily wanting to convey that confident and slightly playful vibe of the character. However, executing such movements while wearing shoes that add nearly ten centimeters in height highly tested my core strength; loosening up even slightly would make it easy to lose balance. The action of covering my face with my hand in photo four was an accidental snapshot, carrying a hint of goofy and playful emotion. Meanwhile, the sitting pose in photo five was actually my most satisfied composition of the day—leaning the body while extending my arm allowed my gaze to land in the direction of my fingertips' extension, while simultaneously showcasing the leg lines and the heavy sole details of the shoes. The entire set included no redundant props, relying entirely on the outfit's colors and the extension of my body movements to carry the visual atmosphere during this session of cosplay photography.

Although this costume follows a suit style, sufficient room was reserved around the waist and cuffs, so it didn't feel restrictive during the shoot. On the day of filming, the lighting brightened and dimmed rhythmically due to the clouds, but I tried my best to maintain a relaxed sense of ease while adjusting my standing posture, avoiding any stiffness in the body. The overall final effect is very crisp; this high-key photography style is indeed perfectly suited for this type of blue and white themed look, ensuring the makeup doesn't appear overly heavy. This shoot also allowed me to accumulate some experience making anime cosplay looks under intense natural light, such as how to highlight waist accessories by subtly adjusting standing poses, or how to keep large areas of light blue from looking overexposed under the sun.
