[Komazawa Noi cosplay] Cosmic Princess Kaguya! BW Convention Photos Log

Diving straight into the BW convention photos! This time I brought Komazawa Noi from Cosmic Princess Kaguya! to life. I fell in love with this character design early on and was thrilled to finally debut it at BW. The outfit is packed with intricate tailoring: a kimono-inspired crossover bodice in soft pink bordered with black scalloped piping, framed around the collar by crisp white ruffles for an exquisite finish. The real showstoppers are the oversized, deep purplish-blue furisode-style sleeves—their flowing volume creates an effortless airborne flutter with the slightest movement, accented by white scalloped cuffs that echo the neckpiece. The dark purple wig with subtle pink highlights took considerable teasing to balance volume and texture, which instantly commanded attention when paired with crimson contact lenses.

The beast ears and tail made this Kemonomimi girl look complete. Fluffy ears sat upright on the head, while the substantial tail featured black-and-white stripes detailed with red markings. On the convention floor, I constantly adjusted the tail by hand to avoid tangling with the pink prop box mounted on my back. That backpack box was quite hefty, and combined with platform Mary Janes, maintaining steady balance while walking was a serious workout. However, chunky platforms paired with over-the-knee white Stockings undeniably lengthened leg lines on camera, even if the dual red thigh garters required frequent repositioning between shutter snaps.

Lighting inside the expo hall was dim, so our keeper rate depended entirely on the photographer's handheld video lights. Photos 1 and 2 captured standing profiles that clearly showcased the structured tailoring, with a slight forward lean bringing the fluffy tail into sharp focus. My absolute favorite is Photo 3 on the carpet: the photographer had me sit on a plush white faux-fur rug with legs extended forward, fully unfurling the skirt's rich tiers. The hem's black openwork eyelet lace laid over internal white ruffles created lovely visual contrast against the white stockings. Lightly twirling a hair strand with one hand while relaxing the other gave an effortless, grounded feel. Sitting on the thin rug over the concrete floor was physically demanding, but completely worth the resulting composition. Balancing the heavy props, deep violet sleeves, and cute ears made every minute of effort at BW genuinely rewarding.
