Sharing my experience using WowNow to turn my studio shoot look from a few days ago into physical Custom merchandise. Preparing this look took a long time that day: long pink hair, green contact lenses, black cat-ear headwear, a black-and-white color-blocked crop top, and a black choker. The bottom half was paired with black shorts, leg rings, and long black stockings (Stockings / Pink hair and black stockings), with a bright green plush doll hanging at the waist. We chose a set featuring red brick walls, a vintage radio, metal mesh grids, and a leather sofa; the overall ambiance fit this dark, Retro street style fashion perfectly.
During the shoot, I unexpectedly came across a WowNow customization machine at the mall. The screen offered various shapes including ear pendants, circles, squares, and vertical rectangles—all featuring a metallic relief texture, priced between 39 and 59 RMB. I uploaded my desired designs via mobile, selecting a circular pendant and a vertical card. After placing the order, I entered the pickup code on the machine screen and quickly received the physical merchandise. The physical metallic relief texture is indeed far more exquisite than standard paper merchandise, carrying satisfying weight in hand.
Because it supports NFC functionality, I also wrote my favorite digital content into it for instant tap-to-open interaction. After receiving the physical items, I brought them back to the shoot location and took a new set of close-ups paired with the Retro street style look; the resulting photos matched the character concept flawlessly. To better showcase the design aesthetic, this cosplay styling was coordinated with extended leg straps and stockings (Stockings), creating a strong sense of bondage and dimensional layering. Combined with the set styling, although the shoot was a bit tiring, the final result was thoroughly satisfying.
