[Mizuki Akiyama cosplay] The lazy daily routine of pink curly hair and a grayish-purple cardigan - Image 1

This time, I selected a grayish-purple chunky cable-knit cardigan. The heavy texture of this material is extremely expressive in front of the lens. To balance the upper body's volume, I wore a basic white shirt underneath and tied the iconic red-and-white striped bow tie. The lower body's blue-and-black plaid pleated skirt served as an excellent color transition, paired with black stockings, which not only flattered the leg lines but also reinforced the overall prep school style and girlish vibe. The hands-in-pockets standing posture was designed mainly to present a casual, lazy state, keeping the overall presentation from looking too rigid, while the slightly pigeon-toed standing pose also visually added a touch of cuteness.

A lot of time was spent managing the wig; the pink micro-curly long hair needed controlled curls that were both layered and not overly cluttered. The red bow hair accessory was fixed on the left side, with multiple micro-adjustments to both position and angle to ensure a sufficiently three-dimensional side profile under the lens. In terms of makeup, although special post-processing was done this time, the base makeup and eye contouring were still prepared according to the character's tone, striving to make the final composite effect more natural.

To highlight the color contrast between the character and the costume, the shooting scene was set up very simply—a pure white wall paired with a white plush carpet on the ground. This minimalist environment allowed the gaze to focus entirely on the subject. In terms of lighting, a softbox was used to make the knitwear's texture and the skirt's pleats clearer, while also giving the leg skin a soft glossy feel. During the shoot, eye-level and slightly high-angle shots from different angles were tried, and it was found that a slightly high-angle shot better showcased the A-line silhouette of the pleated skirt and the texture of the black stockings. To maintain a natural feel, slight body tilting and weight shifting also needed to be controlled very naturally, embodying that effortless sense of relaxation.

In post-processing, an attempt was made to combine the facial features of a 2D character with 3D clothing. To make the splicing feel less severe, some effort was put into integrating the light and shadow. The red of the bow tie, pink of the wig, and grayish-purple of the sweater formed a contrast, while the cool tones of the pleated skirt echoed the black stockings. Throughout the shooting process, the sweater's hem length and the skirt's waistline position were adjusted multiple times to achieve the best visual proportions. This attempt was also meant to showcase another possibility of the character in daily wear, expressing that sense of relaxation through simple clothing materials and postures without too many complex props, conveying the desired feeling solely through the collision of colors and textures. Every small detail on the costume, such as the sweater buttons and the plaid alignment degree of the skirt, was repeatedly confirmed and adjusted during the preliminary stage, striving to restore the most ideal state and present a visual effect that is both textured and characteristic of the character.
