This is the first part of the Star Guardian project, and the full styling and studio shoot are finally meeting everyone.
The details of this Kai'Sa costume are truly numerous. The upper body features a white bodysuit edged with golden lines, and the waist is spliced with a blue glossy material, creating a strong sense of layering. The outer layer of the pleated skirt on the lower body is a very glossy pink, while the inner layer is purple. In terms of props, besides the giant star-shaped weapon in hand, there is also a pair of glowing wing-like hair accessories on the head, paired with waist-length pink long hair, creating a very strong overall color contrast. The shoes are white over-the-knee high-heeled boots, decorated with a circle of golden lines and pink star ornaments, which elongate the leg lines when worn.
The shooting location was chosen in a Cyberpunk style studio. There are many blue neon tubes and electronic display screens around, with glowing words like NEON LINE and NEO-TOKYO on the screens. The metal mesh structure combined with pillars featuring black and yellow warning stripes creates a futuristic urban technological feel. There is also a black motorcycle on site, forming a great cool-warm contrast with the color scheme of this outfit.
Because Kai'Sa is a character with strong combat attributes, we put quite a bit of thought into the action design. To make the picture look more tense, I tried poses such as a single leg high-lift, half-squatting, and sitting on the ground with legs extended. The white boots and skirt hem can generate great motion in the lens. In the last few photos, I leaned against the motorcycle or sat on the high glass railing, utilizing the height difference of the scene to enrich the composition of the frame.
As someone doing photography post-processing, the lighting this time was actually a challenge. The pink and white highlight materials are very prone to overexposure, while still needing to preserve the neon atmosphere of the blue background. Therefore, multiple lamps with different color temperatures were used on site to outline the contours, keeping the pink hair and skirt still vivid in the cool-toned macro environment, highlighting the subject status of the character.
Special thanks to teacher Yuehan for her appearance. Even while wearing such high high-heeled boots, she still perfectly completed various high-difficulty actions with extremely strong expressiveness. Also thanks to Sanmiao Student Photography Studio for building such a theme-matching scene. The shooting of Part 1 has accumulated great experience, and other characters of the Star Guardian project will be arranged successively in the future, hoping to carry forward this texture and combat power.
