[Amiya cosplay] Arknights: The Lingering Sunset of Kazdel

A photoshoot in Guangzhou this November, located on an elevated pedestrian bridge. In the evening, the light was just right, with distant buildings and glass railings forming gorgeous layers against the backlight. Cosplaying Amiya, I chose the styling with bunny ears, coat, white shirt, and pleated plaid skirt. The hair color was given a gradient treatment, complementing the post-color grading to blend naturally with the warm light and purplish-red sky.

During the shoot, we primarily utilized backlighting and side-backlighting, which outlined the silhouette and made the lines of the Stockings and legs stand out dramatically against the light. In the first set, we tried both standing and sitting poses: standing with hands lightly touching the bunny ears and gazing slightly aside, and sitting near the railing edge with one leg raised to elongate leg proportions and reveal the texture of the black Stockings. The second set explored several angles—looking back over the shoulder, or leaning against a concrete pillar gazing into the distance. Being shot live on an authentic pedestrian bridge, the background silhouettes of passing pedestrians and warning signs on the glass railings added an authentic urban realism to the photos rather than feeling artificial.

It was actually quite chilly on the shooting day, especially with the brisk wind. To capture the coat fluttering in the breeze, we shot repeatedly, letting the skirt hem and ribbon bow sway naturally. Later on, because the sun set so quickly and the light shifted rapidly, the photographer adjusted shutter speed and aperture to maintain accurate facial exposure. The Stockings worn here were a thicker thermal pair; while warm, they still photographed exceptionally smooth, exhibiting a warm matte texture under the sun's reflection.

The entire shoot lasted over an hour, exploring many different camera angles, including low-angle upward perspectives to elongate body and leg proportions, as well as eye-level half-body shots. The plaid texture of the skirt was crisp in the sunset, and the black bunny ears glowed with a faint red rim light. As these are Convention photos taken in the midst of crowds, we seized opportunities between passing people, even squatting in a corner using a telephoto lens to compress the background—pulling distant buildings closer to evoke a lonely, expansive vastness. Honestly, the middle shot of the second set was my favorite: centered in the frame, lifting one leg against the purple-pink sky background with immense visual tension, flawlessly showcasing the leg curve and texture of the Stockings. Approaching every shutter click with composure, I hope this post-processing and lighting convey that unique atmosphere.
