Carrying the adventurous spirit of Dodoco, putting on this iconic red witch outfit, tonight's Outdoor adventure in the dark finally came to fruition.

This outdoor shoot location was chosen on a sand hill, spacious and quiet all around. What might look like an ordinary barren slope during the day turns into a sky full of stars above at night, where the deep background instantly gives this sandy land a sense of the unknown and mystery. Holding a lantern standing on the dune, there was indeed an immersive feeling of entering a secret realm alone to explore.

For this Genshin Impact Klee Cosplay, I meticulously paid attention to costume details. The red and black pointed witch hat on the head is the highlight; internal support materials were used to keep the brim crisp. The pale blonde-white short curly wig required trimming the bangs and side curves to fit and recreate the character's playful vibe. The white dress with red trim utilized a ruffled design, while the black and red apron overlay added layers, paired with a metal brooch at the neckline and a wide black leather belt with a metal buckle at the waist, giving the entire outfit a substantial feel. The lower body was matched with white stockings featuring subtle patterns and thick-soled black round-toe leather shoes. Moving in the sand with this outfit was both faithful to the setting and convenient for walking around outdoors.

The core prop of this shoot was that lantern. It was not only the visual focus in the frame, but also played a crucial role as fill light during the actual shoot. The warm yellow glow of the lantern hit my hands and face, forming a very natural rim light. In the sandy area at night, after the ambient light dropped, controlling the brightness and color temperature of the lantern became the key to getting great photos.

Actually, Night photography portraits demand a high level of on-site control from the cosplayer. Behind us was the deep blue night sky and twinkling stars, while the surrounding ambient light was extremely dim. The photographer needed to coordinate with the lantern light, supplemented by external ice lights and reflectors to light the main subject. To ensure clear details, I had to stay still under the intense light of the lantern while controlling my eyes and stance. This is why I often used poses with one hand on my hip and the other holding the lantern high in this photo set, or standing sideways with my back turned as in the third picture, using the lantern to probe the space ahead. These actions were not just for aesthetics, but also to complement the on-site light logic, making the warm lantern the most prominent coordinate in the darkness.

The third wide-angle composition in the photos is one of my personal favorites. Standing on these undulating sand slopes, I raised the lantern high, facing the boundless sea of stars. The sandy ground retained many footprints and dips, which, combined with the cool night light, created a sharp contrast between nature's ruggedness and the character's playful cuteness, immediately bringing out that adventurous feel of exploring the unknown.

For the character of Klee, the adventurous spirit is engraved in her bones. This set of cosplay is not just a display of costume and makeup, but more like a cross-dimensional experience. Standing in this natural sand wearing this outfit, the wind swaying the skirt and wig, with the dim glow of the lantern illuminating my face, felt just like walking into that fantasy-filled world of Genshin Impact, searching for traces of the Great Dodoco King.

To handle the night wind, sand, and low temperatures, I needed to constantly tidy up my wig and skirt during breaks between shots. It was inevitable that some fine sand got on the clothes, but these actually became unique imprints of this outdoor shoot. I worked hard in front of the camera to evoke a lighthearted and lively state, while hiding a touch of focus on the path ahead amidst the quiet night.

Every time a high-quality outdoor shoot like this is completed, I must thank the team for their persistence in the dark night environment, as well as the wonderful experience brought by this outfit. Whether it's the faint light of the lantern or the stardust overhead, both witness this night of Outdoor adventure. Producing cosplay works with emotion and atmospheric scenes is far more moving than posing in a studio wearing the outfit. I hope this night sand exploration set allows everyone to feel that serene yet passionate adventurous state of mind.
