[Nahida Cosplay] Happy Birthday to Sumeru's Dendro Archon!

Today is Nahida's birthday. Catching up with this special day, I am sharing this set of Nahida cosplay photos shot by the mountain forest and waterside.

During the early preparation, to present the character's natural and lively feel, I intentionally chose this outdoor scene with rocks and broad-leaved trees. The white and green short dress, paired with a gradient green hair tail and long pointed ears, and highlighted with golden patterns, makes the color layers of this outfit look exceptionally beautiful under the shifting light of midday and dusk.

The shooting process was actually quite challenging. Especially standing on the exposed rocks, I also had to maintain a light, single-legged stance or sit on the edges. Although the white strapped boots on my feet are visually very distinctive, I had to be extra careful when moving around the bumpy rock surfaces. However, it is precisely this barefoot and exposed-ankle design that shifts the overall visual center of gravity upward, making the character appear lighter. At the same time, I wore that small colorful flower crown in my hair, adding a touch of vitality and wild fun.

To highlight the character's Dendro attribute, many fluorescent green glowing effects were added in post-production. These effects of stars, leaves, and magic rings did not overshadow the main subject; instead, they cleverly blended into the green trees in the background and the evening glow in the sky, creating a visual experience as if the character herself carries her own light. I also intentionally kept some motion blur of the wind blowing across the ribbons, giving the static photos the texture of the wind.

Looking back at this set of photos, the difficulty of outdoor shoots lies in the fusion of natural light and man-made special effects. If it were a studio shoot, the effects could be forcefully added in post, but shooting in nature means one must consider light reflections and angles. This highly tests the photographer's snapshot capture and post-processing experience, but fortunately, the final result is very close to the character's temperament. I hope this birthday blessing, along with the newly born greenery of Sumeru, can be passed into the heart of everyone who loves Nahida.
