This Keqing witch fan-art version has been in preparation for quite a while. From first receiving this outfit to sorting out the overall shooting concept, the main idea was to present a relaxed yet mysterious atmosphere as if spending a summer vacation in Teyvat. The costume has an abundance of details: the purple-and-white color scheme, the dark bow at the neckline, and the complex metallic-colored trims and black feather-like decorations on the skirt hem make the layering extremely rich when worn. To fit the witch setting, I specially paired it with a black wide-brimmed pointed witch hat, along with purple-grey long curly hair and hair accessories, which instantly established the overall styling. The makeup featured light-colored contact lenses to enlarge the eyes, with eye makeup slightly smudged to highlight the character's traits. The shooting location for this session was chosen in a vintage study, where tall dark wooden bookshelves, piled heavy books, vintage carved mirrors, and globes provided wonderful background support for the frame. During the shoot, props played a crucial role. The slender magic wand in my hand served as the visual center of the entire set, which, combined with post-processing special effects, could create floating glowing books, light orbs, scattered and floating parchment paper, and purple magic light spots, filling the picture with a sense of fantasy. Photographer Xiaoluo gave a lot of guidance during the shooting process. One shot has me sitting at the desk, holding a quill pen and posing as if writing on an unfolded parchment paper, with a candle and a white owl model placed beside me, giving a strong immersive feeling of a magic scholar doing research. To accommodate various angles, the photographer adopted some tilted perspective compositions, such as a high-angle overhead shot from the upper side, which not only broke the conventional stability but also made the picture more dynamic and dramatic. Wearing this outfit, especially with long gloves and holding props to pose, is actually quite a test of physical stamina. Black stockings paired with dark leather shoes also nicely showcased the leg lines in overhead and full-body shots, adding some different visual effects. The entire studio shooting process was very fulfilling; materializing Keqing's witch setting and looking at the final photos made all the previous preparation and hard work so worth it. The atmosphere of the study was exceptionally nice, with warm yellow candlelight or desk lamp light shining on the face, allowing one to get into the zone very quickly. To prevent the picture from looking monotonous, we also utilized many scattered letters and floating papers. When shooting the prone posture, to make the light spots emitted by the magic wand look more realistic, the prop angles were adjusted multiple times. The purple-and-white dress on my body presented different textures under the candlelight. That black witch hat was slightly heavy, but once worn, the sense of mystery came out instantly. The friction between the glove material and the dress fabric, including the dynamics of the skirt's feather decorations when turning around, all required attention during the shoot. Accompanied by floating magical elements, I tried to make every action look natural and consistent with the setting. The entire shooting process felt like genuinely spending a wonderful holiday in the Teyvat continent, recording these moments full of magical aura through the lens.
