This time, I tried out Asuna's cheongsam styling, blending Chinese classical aesthetics with sci-fi elements. The blue silk fabric possesses a gorgeous sheen; the halterneck and chest cutout design really test the garment's tailoring, while the harness straps along the waist and legs were faithfully recreated as well. The iconic blue halo headpiece atop my head served as the focal point of the styling, requiring continuous angle adjustments during the shoot to let the halo's light effect shine through perfectly. Draped over my shoulders was a white plush shawl, which not only added dimensional depth but also softened the overall presence quite a bit.

Setting up the scene took considerable effort. The backdrop incorporated sheer gauze drapes inscribed with calligraphy alongside wooden folding screens, paired with multiple warm-yellow paper lanterns to cultivate an antique, classical mood. To echo the dominant blue hue of the outfit, a layer of cool-toned blue-purple lighting was cast across the environment; this contrast between warm and cool tones lent the frames a heightened sense of dimensional space. For props, I prepared a blue-and-white folding fan, and specially arranged white rabbit figurines and abundant cotton batting around the wooden Luohan daybed to simulate snowscapes, accented with artificial white plum blossoms and peonies for rich visual detail.

The high-slit cut of the dress paired with nude stockings and black strappy high heels visually elongated the lines of my legs wonderfully. During the shoot, to better showcase the unique characteristics of this ensemble, I experimented with a wide variety of postures. While reclining sideways on the wooden daybed, engaging the core and waist muscles was essential to maintain bodily curves while letting the legs stretch out naturally, allowing the texture of the stockings and the details of the heels to stand out crisply under the light. Holding the folding fan paired with a languid, cool gaze aimed to capture the character's signature charm.

Controlling facial expressions during this session demanded high precision. The goal was to express the mature elegance brought by the cheongsam without losing Asuna's intrinsic touch of tsundere attitude. Having bangs covering one eye made conveying emotions through my gaze even more challenging, so I relied more on subtly lifting my chin and glancing sideways to communicate nuances. While the intricate carvings on the wooden bed were aesthetically pleasing, the hard material was physically taxing during prolonged poses; however, seeing the interplay of light and shadow captured in the camera made every effort feel completely worthwhile.

On-site lighting was another major challenge. The warm glow from the lanterns and the cool background illumination created gorgeous rim contours along my silhouette, which greatly helped reproduce natural skin tones and fabric textures. Overall, blending a high-tech halo with a classical cheongsam was an extraordinary experience. The garment's tailored lines and the scene coordination both achieved our envisioned aesthetic, making this a truly complete and fulfilling cosplay shoot.
