[Keqing cosplay] Purple Lightning of Teyvat, Freezing a Quiet Moment by the Lakeside

Seeing these final photos, the exact moment of blowing in the breeze by the lake in the evening surfaces in my mind again. The line chosen by the photographer, "But you are unwilling to return to Teyvat continent to see me again..." paired with this scene, just happens to push the quiet and slightly storytelling atmosphere to the max.

This time I did Keqing, and the entire outfit uses blue and white as the primary color scheme, which is very clean and refreshing. The clothing is finely differentiated in materials: the outer layer is a stiff blue pleated skirt hem with a subtle texture sheen under the light; the inner wear features multiple layers of white fluffy ruffles, giving the entire skirt hem a lot of thickness and layering. The most attractive part of the upper body design is that dark bowtie and the corset structure at the waist, paired with a white apron bearing exquisite dark patterns, which visually highlights the waistline without looking bloated. The sleeves section features wide light-blue lantern sleeves, paired with semi-transparent blue butterfly wrist flowers at the wrists, adding a touch of soft spiritual aura to the whole person.

The pairing of purple twin-tails with white fluffy animal ears is the soul of this look. The wig was combed for a long time before shooting to ensure every strand had a natural curve and the bangs wouldn't block the eyes. The top of the head features animal ears with dark hair accessories and dark streamers cascading down the sides; when walking around, the hair ends and ribbons rise with the wind, adding a lot of dynamic sense.

For the shoot that day, I specifically prepared an oversized bamboo-boned oil-paper umbrella. The light yellow surface of the umbrella and the wooden bone frame perfectly restore the setting, and bright red tassels dangle below the umbrella handle. When the overall frame is dominated by a cool-toned dark blue palette, this red embellishment becomes a visual breakthrough point.

The shooting location was selected on a natural water shore with irregular rocks and mud underfoot, backed by calm lake water and the city silhouette in the distance. In the evening, the sky was already turning dark, entering what is often called the "Blue Hour" in photography. The photographer set up a very comfortable frontal fill light, completely separating the main character from the dark lake and bush background. The ambient light of the surroundings presented a cool-toned serenity, beautifully preserving the details of the skin tone and the texture of the clothes for this outdoor portrait.

In terms of capturing movements, we tried several different angles. In some photos, I stand on the rocks holding the umbrella, with the skirt hem draping naturally, combined with the red tassel embellishment, giving a collision vibe between classical style and the 2D world; some captured the exact moment of my turning around and looking back, where the skirt hem slightly swings under the inertia of the turn, and the pairing of black over-the-knee stockings with black thick-heeled ankle boots beautifully elongates the leg proportions while bearing the sense of weight of the lower half of the entire look; a few others feature putting down the umbrella, making a single-handed upward lifting gesture while gazing at the sky, or crossing hands in front of the body looking into the lens—these relatively static postures instead highlight the expression of facial features and the gaze.

Thinking back, although this outdoor photoshoot was slightly challenging due to the complex terrain, the cool, lazy, yet sharp temperament in the final photo results happens to fit my impression of this character. Thanks to the photographer for patiently capturing these vivid moments, using the lens to help me present such an immersive character experience through this cosplay photography session.
