In this shoot for Laffey's bunny ears look, I chose a blue-and-white sailor-style coat paired with a glossy bodysuit as the core outfit. The fluffy cuffs and tail elements make the overall look both recognizable as an anime girl character and carry a soft, comfortable home vibe. The shape of the bunny ears headband was adjusted to ensure it stays upright in front of the camera. Paired with the light purple gradient wig, it creates a strong color harmony with the red colored contact lenses.
The main purpose of this set of photos is to present the lazy and cute daily side of the character, so the pose designs try to avoid forced posing as much as possible. Poses like sitting while holding the bunny ears or close-ups lying on the quilt are mostly based on a casual sense of comfort. During the shoot, we used translucent curtains as a soft-light tool to let the light evenly spread across the face, presenting a soft, glowing texture.
In terms of expression management, I intentionally restrained exaggerated emotions, using subtle changes in my gaze and a natural lip state to align with the character's personality. The post-processing color grading mainly leans towards a warm tone atmosphere, reducing background highlights while retaining the texture of the wooden headboard and white walls, so the visual focus always stays on the character.
The process of doing this cosplay was very relaxing, allowing me to open up in front of the camera. The moment I put on the clothes and wig, I felt the state was exactly right. Every little detail of this look is closely connected to the character's own temperament. Recording this fluffy daily vibe was a truly healing shooting experience.
