Today was an outdoor shoot for my Azur Lane Cheshire cosplay photo set. To catch the clear, transparent sunlight around 10 AM, we arrived at the amusement park early. The focus of the makeup and styling this time was on the overall color coordination. The gray-blue gradient wig showed a translucent texture under strong light, paired with blue-gray colored contacts to make the character's gaze more vivid. The light blue sailor-collar puff-sleeve top is made of a lightweight fabric, looking very refreshing under the sun, and the large black bow on the chest with a manjuu chick and a golden bell serves as the visual centerpiece of the whole look. The bright yellow crossbody bag and the chick plushie on the ground added playful charm to the frame, which is also a very cute part of Cheshire's character design. For the lower body, I paired a black pleated skirt with white stockings and black platform leather shoes decorated with lace and pearls.
There were many suitable spots for framing at the venue. The wall with blue mosaic tiles behind me matched the overall color palette perfectly. The round hollow openings on the wall served as a natural frame; I tried sitting inside with my legs crossed, naturally pulling at my socks with both hands. The photographer skillfully used framing in the composition to seamlessly blend the subject with the environment. During the shoot, to show the character's liveliness, I tried various crouching and sitting poses, such as squatting on a stone sphere or sitting in a white hanging ring with both legs dangling in the air.
Taking photos in the hanging ring was actually more exhausting than expected; the core had to be kept tight to maintain balance, while facial expressions needed to be controlled to look relaxed and playful in front of the lens. When the midday sun beat down directly, the temperature was quite high, and wearing long sleeves and a multi-layered wig took a real toll on physical stamina. Because the sunlight was so intense, my eyes often squinted involuntarily; to preserve catchlights, I had to deliberately keep my eyes wide open and find the reflected highlights from the lens.
Whenever I saw those crisp light-and-shadow frames in the camera, I felt all the hard work was completely worth it. This shoot not only tested posture control, but also required continuous communication with the photographer to find compositions that could showcase clothing details while taking advantage of the natural surroundings. For color coordination, I specifically highlighted the blue-and-yellow color block—the bright yellow bag and plushie popped vividly against the blue-and-white background. Today was a very complete creative experience, and I truly enjoyed capturing these moments under the sunshine.
