I tried on this outfit for Prinz Moritz from Azur Lane. The overall black and gold exotic style combined with dark demon elements immediately struck me as a perfect fit for the character design. The demon horns on the headpiece are highly eye-catching, which, paired with the original black twin-tails and a touch of pinkish-purple highlights at the tips, adds a lot of playful charm. The accessories for this costume are very intricate, especially the details of the golden waist chains and waist buckles, which I adjusted several times to find the perfect drape. The wings are beautifully textured; the red-inside and black-outside gradient paint job gives off a mysterious reflective effect when catching the light.
During the shoot, to complement the purplish-red ambient lighting, I intentionally selected angles that blended well with the background. The sheer flared sleeves and long streamers add a dynamic aesthetic. Although I was constantly worried that the accessories might snag the fabric during the try-on process, the resulting layered look and flowing elegance made it completely worthwhile. The plush carpet underfoot and the reflective glossy tiles create a textural contrast, making the captured images relatively multi-dimensional. The design of this outfit retains the exaggerated feel of the demon elements while also taking the division of body proportions into account; the waistline design is very slimming, and the semi-translucent exotic style is a brilliant finishing touch.
Throughout the fitting, I was constantly micro-adjusting the position of the headpiece and wings to prevent a shift in the center of gravity from affecting my posture. This mix of dark and exotic styles is truly eye-catching, perfectly embodying Prinz Moritz's charming yet slightly mischievous little demon temperament. Overall, this game character cosplay try-on was a great experience, and the tailoring and materials of the outfit were easier to manage than expected. I also tried a few different poses during the shoot, striving to recreate the character's atmosphere and spirit, and I look forward to doing a full photoshoot in a more complete setting later on.
