[Ram cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-: Pink Party at the Summer Pool

For this Ram Swimsuit cosplay shoot, I chose an outdoor swimming pool location. The weather was fantastic that day—the sunlight was ample and the water temperature was just right, making it ideal for shooting in the pool. However, outdoor UV rays were indeed intense; I reapplied sunscreen multiple times between takes because shooting in swimwear truly demands constant skin protection. The pool was framed by lush green trees, blue skies, and white clouds, giving the entire backdrop a crisp, fresh palette that harmonized effortlessly with Ram's pink swimsuit design.

Regarding the wardrobe, the swimsuit's design has great layering. The exterior features a sheer white cover-up, beneath which lies a lightweight pink-and-white striped halter bikini. A yellow tie accents the neckline, serving as one of Ram's signature design elements. On my head, I wore a white swim cap embellished on the side with a pink bow and purple X-shaped hairpin, paired with the classic short pink wig. Once in the water, the wig tended to stick to my face, requiring frequent adjustments to the bangs while submerged to preserve framing before the lens without obscuring too much of my vision. For the lower half, I wore White over-the-knee socks. In the water, stockings absorb moisture, grow heavy, and easily slide down, so I had to readjust them after almost every single take—if such details are neglected, the final images lose their refined polish.

Shooting actually presented quite a few challenges. Stabilizing the swim ring in the water while following the photographer's cues to strike flattering poses was far from simple. Especially for the shots sitting atop the swim ring, not only did my core have to maintain balance at all times, but I also had to focus on extending my leg lines so the White over-the-knee socks wouldn't look bulky. I pointed my toes to elongate the calf lines, creating a sleeker silhouette visually. Keeping my eyes open in the water was another test; although the pool water was pristine, controlling blink frequency and sustaining facial expression management were necessary to prevent redness or discomfort. Surface water glare was remarkably strong and occasionally skewed metering, requiring continuous communication with the photographer regarding lighting angles to ensure illumination across the face remained soft and even.

Beyond the submerged shots, the frames on the wooden poolside deck required significant effort as well. The deck was scorching hot under the blazing sun, requiring substantial endurance to walk barefoot, while stepping across the timber in wet White over-the-knee socks made slipping a real hazard, demanding extreme caution to prevent falls. When posing, I utilized the swim ring as a prop—propping it upright to lean against, or sitting atop it as shown in the photos. These poses heavily engaged the core and lower back; to convey a relaxed mood, I had to loosen my shoulders before the camera while subtly tightening my core to hold those seemingly effortless postures. Deck shots also required vigilance regarding wardrobe mishaps, as the skirt could easily be lifted by wind or snagged by the swim ring, demanding constant smoothing.

Judging from the final results, the pairing of pink and white against the azure pool water yielded a clean, crisp frame. This Ram swimsuit look preserves the character's hallmarks while perfectly fitting the summer pool ambiance. Although the wet stockings were a hassle in the water, the resulting Anime cosplay aesthetic was undeniably elevated. Whether capturing the floating sensation in the pool or the natural sunlight across the wooden deck, the attire's details were brought out beautifully in a truly fulfilling shoot.
