This duo location shoot with Reimu marks the very first time we've brought the main cast together in the spring! Marisa's costume went through multiple adjustments; the star patches on the apron and the ruffled details have a great texture under natural light, and I spent quite a bit of time styling the curls of the golden wig, so you could say I was fully prepared. Standing right beside me, Reimu, with her red-and-white shrine maiden outfit and that highly recognizable large ribbon, looked as if she had truly stepped out of the Hakurei Shrine against the backdrop of mountains, forests, and a sea of flowers.

Although Marisa always appears to be casual and carefree, I actually check every single detail meticulously before going out on location, including the apron straps and the curvature of the wig, all to present the most character-accurate visual effect in front of the lens. Location shoots test the light and environment the most. This time, we specifically looked for a bright yet non-glaring afternoon, utilizing the shade of the trees to form a wonderful diffused forest light. This kind of light is incredibly friendly for cosplay photography, allowing the clothing material and the wig's color luster to show their most natural state.

The pose in picture 1, with arms wide open to welcome spring, is intended to express Marisa's carefree and energetic vibe during springtime. Having collaborated with my partner so many times, every duo crossover sparks something new. Walking through the park in these beautiful clothes, we even received quite a few compliments from passersby, which felt truly magical. Going on a location shoot for Anime cosplay is more than just taking photos; it's a process of immersing oneself into the character and experiencing their state of life. Through this shoot, I've also gained a deeper understanding of the character Marisa. In the future, I hope to discover more outdoor scenes suitable for this character, continuing to deliver the charm of Touhou Project's Gensokyo to everyone through the lens.
